  1. I talked to him over the phone not long ago. He said that apparently the marriage between his thai wife and him turn out sour and that is why he moved his cabinet. But everything is fine now and he should be settled down near Tukcom, the new location.

Another victim of thai farang relationship...

And another child from a broken home!!!

  2. Declaring him PNG & deporting him would suit me.

Locking him up in a Thai prison would suit me.

OK, locking you up in a Thai prison would suit me very much, thank you.

    Why?

    Because I would like that.

    Stupid?

Yes, as stupid as your remark.

As you can read, this man was suspected of a killing, and set free because there was no proof at all that he was indeed guilty of killing the girl.

He is NOT convicted of any crime, why lock him up in a Thai prison?

Just because Peter de Vries THINKS he did kill the girl?

Just because public opinion in the US is enough to condemn someone?

Just because this guy flees to Thailand because wants to escape that stupid <deleted> de Vries?

He is in Thailand, which only shows the Dutch authorities had no grounds to withdraw his passport.

    Why in Thailand?

    Why not?

Like all his remarks, statements and fantasies, Joran only shows he is a compulsive liar.

    Stupid?

    Oh yes, very much.

    But guilty without judging?

    NO!

Is he an example of the kind of tourists I am happy with?

    No!

But, his father is a judge, quite rich, probably rather influential.

    You see?

This guy is sociopathic. He showed absolutely no emotion or empathy when being interviewed over the Natalee Holloway case. If he were to traffic Thai girls to Holland, he would not give a shit what happened to them. That's his personality.

Yes, I would like to see him locked up in a Thai jail!!

  3. Marshbags

Donot no where you are from but Brits on frozen pensions still pay tax on company pensions and save the UK Goverment money on Health Care

and many other allowance our beef is not that pensions are frozen but if we live in another parts of the world like USA or even the Philipines you

get the full anti which we all pay foras for supporting our country as you think by not living there do you support yours by living here

    Well said, Khunphilip!!

  4. I spoke to Libya tonight. He has quit TV due to, in his opinion, unfair hassle from the Mods including deleted posts. So, after 2666 posts he has called it a day. I for one hope that he changes his mind in a while and comes back.

Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah! The arrogance of the man was unbearable!

  5. The missing .bin file is a part of the set of update files sent everyday...it's just that the .AVG update servers didn't distribute the .bin file along with the other files that make up the virus database update, so the AVG program rejected todays update and is still using yesterday's virus database. That means that you're still protected and the program is working. AVG updates the program everyday, so at the very least the missing .bin file problem will be corrected within 24 hours.

DO NOT REINSTALL the program. When you do that you actually put your PC at greater risk because the AVG install file on the website will not include the most recent virus database - you will end up using a database that may be as much as a week old, maybe more. Just leave the program as is and the .bin problem will go away within the next 24 hours.

  6. Quite a provocative statement McGinty. Please leave your assumptions at home.

He is back at the local vets after having surgery. He is recovering and eating. Although he is bouncing around like a punk rocker on acid, it will take some time before he is back home.

Thanks for your continued interest and support.

    HoJo

Hey, what great news! It's quite made my day. :o

  7. Hi

Sorry, have been a bit hectic.

I haven't really heard much else. As far as I can gather he is at this place waiting for his operation.

I imagine that it is probably pretty busy if it is a subsidised hospital.

As soon as I hear more I will let you know.

    Many thanks,

    HoJo

Did he have the operation, or what?

  8. Three questions.

    1) Is this topic Thai related?

    2) Is this topic about breaking the law?

    3) If this was about customs in France, Germany, The Netherlands or whatever other country, wouldn't it be closed already?

    Cheers

    onzestan

Where are the mods when you need them, this is not even close to being Thai related.

Yes it is, he's flying from Thailand. Regardless of how 'unThai' it may be, this is a topic of great interest to many tourists and expat's alike, if it bothers you that much then don't read it.

I dont think it matters where he is flying into the UK from, might be more relevant if the question related to flying into Thailand? But again, I guess this is what PB meant by more intelligent topics wanted.

    That's you stuffed then

    :o:D:D

  9. I would like to open an account that can handle direct deposit of foreign currency as well as GBP in the UK. I have a British passport, but no residential address there. The account would therefore have to be opened online, and post documentation etc. Does anyone know of a bank that offers this kind of service. Would love to hear about it. Thanks

    Oz

You cannot open a bank account in the UK if you do not have a a residential address. Tried many, many banks and building societies myself but all refused me because I don't have an address. You can open one offshore though - I opened one in the Isle of Man.

You sure about that? When I opened mine with Barclays International they still required an address, what bank are you with? I opened my account on line but had to mail the supporting documents. Luckily I had an onshore account with Barclays so they accepted my application on the back of that.

ozsamurai, am I correct in assuming from your nick that you are Australian? If so you will have a lot of problems opening a UK bank account. I'm British and the last time I opened one they wanted two proofs of identity one with a residential address in UK (driving licence or a utility bill addressed to yourself) and the other your passport preferrably.

<edit : just read the OP regarding the Brit PP bit........doh!>

I opened one with Barclays International in the I.O.M. using my Thai address - no problems, but they would only send my on-line password etc. to an address in the UK (I used my sister's) as they said Thailand is a high-risk country.
