Maybe Vietnam just doesn't want too many retirees living there, they want to capitalize on the short stays for more cash rather than permanents ? and maybe they don't want all the problems that go with it like criminal gangs setting up there ... maybe they've seen how Thailand is and they don't want that route ... strange indeed .. but just wondering why ..

very strange Mike, I've been a few times and found the locals fine to chat with, especially young Vietnamese .... however, some groups and couples do keep to themselves a bit. Thai's are ok sometimes although many cheats & however fake they can be. If Vietnam had a retirement visa process Thailand would lose out big time imo. just saying ....

it shows the driver filling at the Coca Cola dispenser, however if that dispenser is empty and awaiting refill it may only dispense water .... hence I think he is filling with water ... that's why he's on the end dispenser and not in the next or in the middle where they are not empty. It says in the article he was getting water, not Coca Cola.

Your just assuming ... I read the story that indicates he was filling his drink container with water only.
