  1. The same happened to me when I found myself, by accident in Yaowarat ( I thought I was in Beijing) and then, a few hours later was flown to Tel Aviv, I mean Khao San, before landing in Seou l/ sukhumvit ....????
  2. You must live in a "preserved" area of Bkk or not here at all, as, where I live (centre of the Capital )....it is simply paranoia between the box of masks attached to the ears and the distance between two persons which is greater than the recommended one and even greater when the Somchai Doe "crosses" the path of a non National. You also seem to forget the cases brought in from the North and North East by someThai people. As fro keeping the numbers down I would agree with you if anyone could come up with verifiable numbers and context No offense meant and not looking for a spat ????
  3. Maybe...but I suggest you spend a 6 months / year there before you deicide anything. Panama, to me. is quite dull. Mexico Ecuador Costa Rica and Colombia get my preferences ( not sure about how easy to remain there though )
  4. And you submitted a one night stay instead of a 14 night stay ?
  5. But, from what I understood. among the posters who took this route, none of them intends to do the 14 day quarantine...it is just a (seemingly) faster way to make sure they get the QR code It is definitely what I will do if I do not get approval by the end of next week as I plan (need) to travel in three weeks
  6. I would agree with jackdd on that one. Not on the fact that it is a waste of money as everyone reacts as they see fit and in your case lack of time justifies the expense. This being said it does take a few minutes to do it ( and yes, quite a lot of hassles at the beginning and that is stressful ) Now what would not be a waste of money is if your agent really had connections because as far as I know we are all on the same boat. Personally I have applied and still waiting for the approval And yes, some applicants have successfully applied and got their qr code literally under five minutes.
  7. The title implies that they know exactly how many therefore who has registered, has been granted with the Pass and who is on the waiting list. Would it be possible to post the list of names here ? At least we would know where we stand ????
  8. Check with the airlines directly Thai , Emirate, Air France (depending on where you live)
  9. hum...elsewhere maybe...but you might be (not) surprised to see how (much) this is translated when it reaches the ears of the organisers ( of the Thailand Pass)
  10. That would suppose the presence of two elements: 'brain" and "storm" I let you reflect on that ????
  11. But...they have never done anyhow else: the consular staff is in charge with checking the documents. So I guess that, depending on where you are flying from, the reply might be faster. ( although some of my compatriots have got their QR code whereas I am still waiting after three days). As for registering again with all the modifications advised by the lucky ones....well I am sure they were lucky as I re applied and am still at the same stage: no progress. Hence I will have to wait until the full seven working day period ends....on November the 11th
  12. Time frame for applying is 7 to 39 days prior to departure . The 7 day is a bit shady as, when one register, they get an email stating that it will be considered within 7 working days. If you can afford to wait, I would advise you to do so as the situation will (favourably ?) evolve. Of course the Covid situation might throw all hoped to the ground again
  13. From EU I registered with the correct information and documents but I did not get the QR code ( I am a bit nervous I will admit) so I applied again with the AQ checked instead of the Sha+ : no QR code. In both cases, although I was notified by mail that my submission had been received. ????
  14. That is what is mentioned in the email: "Thailand Pass system has received your registration. The result of your registration will be sent to this email within 7 working days."
  15. Anyone, correct me if I am wrong but the time frame to apply is 7 to 30 days prior to the date of departure ( unless you are waiting for a document to submit your application) The 7 day specification is kind of worrying though as "The result of your registration will be sent to this email within 7 working days" is the confirmation we receive after submitting successfully.
  16. Accurate but not complete. "into trouble" is missing
  17. On a more selfish approach, I wonder how many, out of these 40,000, have (will) received the result of their application and the timeframe for the response. I have applied, got the email of confirmation and still waiting for the status. Mind you it went from 3-5 days (or within a week) to 3-5 working days 7 up to "The result of your registration will be sent to this email within 7 working days" (avoid submitting on November, Thursday the 18th if you are in a hurry... 7 working days falls on Monday the 29th or the following day, the same month)
  18. As advised by numerous sources, happiness rises on d day. Hence only drink on days with a “d”in it
  19. Understood but kind of strange that they submit the test at that time but what about the person arriving at 6 AM ? They should spend two days in quarantine ?
  20. Not all of them and this does not hold when applying for the Pass as it is made no mention of the situation of the traveller. No insurance uploaded equals to no submission possible
  21. Well, that would justify the need for every non Thai to be insured when in Thailand. If one cannot afford an insurance, then they will not be able to support the expense of an hospitalisation. This being said this is quite a heavy financial weight to put on the "visitors"
  22. 555 thanks You saved me the trouble to search Plex as it is always good to have a freebie....but obviously not te same as Netflix ????
  23. That is great but, if I were you, I would insist and ask them to be more flexible. They know what time the plane is landing and the rest is up to the immigration really. They surely do understand that you are not going to make a stop over to spend the rest of the night clubbing. This being said, they would have to plan for the PCR and I am not sure what happens in the case of such late arrivals. In any case you would be on the safe side as the test would be performed, at the latest, in the morning and you would definitely get the result before you check out the following day
  24. Quite possibly. If you are not in a hurry, give it a couple of days and start the process again. If it is urgent don’t waste time and register ASAP
