  1. But...But..some other politician simultaneously announced that Test and Go may be scrapped because of Omicron Mind you, maybe they think that Indian and Russian, who respectively read/write in Hindi and Cyrillic cannot read words using Latin letters and will not be aware of the restrictions imposed. Add that Omicron is a Greek letter...and there is the secret of getting these tourists to Thailand without confusing them
  2. And some of us were born stupid. Unfortunately unlike sex change, no hope for a positive evolution for those ones Keep it up
  3. I still cannot understand how that can be in a country where acceptance of the other seems to be the general feeling. Or maybe it is more "don't look, don't care" Unfortunately , this is not the only "group" to be discriminated against here, and Thailand is definitely not the only country where such inequalities are obvious.
  4. I hesitated between Cyprus and Greece in 2016 to buy a flat but the prices from that point of view were triple the ones in Athens. Also too quiet for me in the wintertime. I live it during the summer though ( maybe too many youngsters though : ) )
  5. Sincerely I do not find Athens polluted and definitely no traffic jam Bangkok is impossible to from that pint of view The crus has allowed me to purchase a flat at a more than reasonable price People are nice although lazy but great to stay there for a few months .Not withstanding the fact that there are plenty of beaches around Athens
  6. Beg to differ… Athens is way cheaper and that from experience, as I spend an equal amount of months between Thailand and Greece, and the rest in France, both countries not as a tourist you can have a basic meal or sandwiches for 1 to 2 euros (35/70 baht)
  7. Nice to hear, but I am afraid that people living in different “dimensions” cannot understand each other. That would require a complete immersion, living the life of the other… which is impossible This being said, your comment is more balanced than the rest of your posts I appreciate
  8. "....what would be the point in telling them what I think about them. No point. So I don't waste my time" But...but...why don't you apply this sound and smart adage (????)...here ?
  9. Well, you cannot compare Corfu, Mykonos or Santorini to Fethiye. It would be like comparing Miami, Florida to Lake Charles, Louisiana. Although Athens would not on your list, considering the choice you made, you would be surprised by the low cost of living. I spend more in Thailand than in Greece, by all means and I am referring to basics.
  10. Try Greece. Easy going. population and inexpensive day to day cost
  11. Trust me, apart from he officials who had to show the way, the ones who can afford to travel resorted to other vaccines long ago by getting their shots abroad at the right time
  12. It is in One way or another it would have found a mean to get here Another day on earth.... One downside though: the blame game erupting from this finding ("we told you to keep the borders closed")
  13. Land Department is in charge of properties including condominium purchases, hence my question
  14. Thanks. Yes, it kind of worries me. Even more as I will have to deal with three different countries including Thailand where I own property and bank accounts wit credit cards attached to them
  15. That is correct. Thanks. I am referring to a condominium but did not think that was relevant
  16. Hey i got married and will add my spouse’s name to mine in my passport. Do I need to register my “new” name with the land department and how do I go about it ? thanks
  17. Well TTB bank refused to admit our mariage certificate ...under Thai Law...it was to be expected but not important to me
  18. You are joking, right ? It is pun intended ( the "not against" as well) But we may not have the same sense of humour, God forbid
  19. I an not married to a Thai anymore so it is less of a concern to me but it would be nice for the locals though
  20. Well, speak for yourself ( no offence meant) I cannot stand the mask and I take it off as soon as I can. I have difficulties breathing and I have stopped jogging since the mask is an obligation. So only swimming, until it is, ridiculously, forbidden once more. and exercising at home. I am thinking about having a special mask made of silk but I am not sure about the quality of such a "protection"
