  1. As someone else just said, you clearly don't know the difference between an impeachment and a criminal trial. The former is political, the latter legal. And in fact, GOP minority leader McConnell stated after the senate acquittal that they couldn't impeach a ex-President who's already out-of-office, but that the US criminal justice system would handle the charges. And here we are.
  2. Amazing that I said the exact same thing..... [Republicans, our democracy depends on your willingness to read the Trump indictment | Opinion The Kansas City Star Editorial Board] [It explains, in great detail, how Trump knew from his own people that he had lost the election. And how, based on claims that even he knew to be “crazy,” he tried through various schemes to stay in power anyway.] [Virtually all of the facts set out in the document were revealed by not just other Republicans, but by Republicans appointed and employed by Donald Trump.] https://www.yahoo.com/news/republicans-democracy-depends-willingness-read-211625273.html
  3. You're not wrong. I'm not a big fan of Pence. I doubt I agree with much of his policy positions. But on this one issue, the dude was a big part of why Trump's treason failed. Yes, there were other Republicans who stood strong against Trump and his goons. But Pence was the last line of defense against an onslaught and he did his duty.
  4. Of course, Pence is right. He was courageous to defend the Constitution against his own boss. Yet, most in his own party despises him. Fact is, there is no room in the Republican party for honest people.
  5. Ah, I see. VP Pence, Bill Barr, Mark Meadows, et al....RINOs. But hey, Trump only hires the best people.
  6. Hmmm.....yet nearly all of the evidence/witnesses are Republicans. How do you explain that?
  7. Still has to be proven. Thanks for stating the obvious. By the way, I've never been indicted. Have you?
  8. Good one. Yeah, one can't win an argument with a MAGA troll because these people are so far gone. If you confront them with facts, they either change the subject or disappear like a fart in the wind. I'm just glad the law finally caught up with their cult leader. I hope Trump bleeds his supporters dry with his endless requests/demands for money. They truly deserve each other.
  9. They are not unindicted. If that were the case, the indictment doc would say so. They are not yet indicted, but have an opportunity to come forward and cooperate. If they don't, they will be indicted.
  10. If we can get every Republican voter to read the indictment, then we would have an informed electorate. Of course, most of said voters do not want to be informed.
  11. I might actually be offended if I knew what the heck "sonny jim" is.
  12. Bob is a serial Thai hater and spends all of his waking hours hating on the Thais. This week it's the postman. Next week....who knows?
  13. Not too surprising. We should also take notice of not just who produces fake news, but who tends to believe it. I recall reading an article about fake news trolls in Macedonia who had zero political leanings. They produced fake news for money and in 2016, pushed stories that supported both Hillary and Trump. But the fake news that helped Trump were much more likely to be believed and shared. So that's where the money was and that's all they cared about.
  14. Yes, Mitch is the senate minority leader. Read the thread title. Trump is blasting the senate GOP, which is basically Mitch.
  15. Elon is smart about some things, but incredibly dumb in others. It takes years, sometimes decades, to successfully build a brand. Now he's essentially starting over. I also read somewhere that Meta owns the "X" thing....
  16. The Senate is basically Mitch McConnell. And Mitch hates Trump. So Trump can keep waiting.
  17. You're overthinking. We all have our ideal mate....but most will end up settling for much less. Such is the way of the world.
  18. No that's not it. The Dems never thought the Supreme Court would reverse itself in such a way. The right to an abortion was settled law. But now....
  19. Fortunately, most Americans do not agree with you. They--especially women--support the right of women to decide for themselves what to do with their own bodies. I hope this topic keeps coming up ad nauseam during election season. Because the GOP will be annihilated for their anti-freedom of choice stance.
  20. It doesn't matter. Joe Biden will be re-elected for another 4-year term and you guys can keep whining till the cows come home....5555.
  21. Mike Pence, a decent, religious man....but still lacking a backbone.
  22. Incumbents don't typically have to go through a primary when running for reelection. Trump didn't in 2020 and Biden shouldn't in 2024.
  23. While we like to believe that the two parties are stuffing these old geezers down our throats, it is in fact the voters who decided/will decide. The Dems had a primary in 2020 and chose Biden. The Reps are going through a primary now and will most likely choose Trump. So who to blame if 2024 is Biden and Trump again? The American voters, of course.
  24. Did these women approach you or did you approach them (to ask out on a date)? If you approached them, they can be of the belief that you're interested in them for a relationship. That's not unreasonable. Perhaps you should only date women that you think have the potential to be long term. That way, you might appreciate them becoming "attached" to you.
