Bad Biden polls stoke third-party angst for Democrats
Berkshire replied to Social Media's topic in World News
You're not even a Democrat. Who cares what you think. -
Yes, Chiang Mai is not like Pattaya or Phuket. That's a good thing.

Bad Biden polls stoke third-party angst for Democrats

That's a pretty accurate description of the Trump administration. -
Bad Biden polls stoke third-party angst for Democrats
Berkshire replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I wouldn't worry too much about current polls. Yeah, everybody will say Joe Biden is too old, somebody else should run, we need younger blood, yadda yadda yadda. But when it comes time to vote and the choices are Biden or Trump, Biden will win every time. Because seriously, most Democrats and moderates know what's really going on. This comment is from just another normal guy.... [Is President Biden old? Yes. Is he a movie star? No. Does he suck up all the oxygen in a room? No. He just keeps getting things done and giving credit to the other people who helped. This country doesn't deserve this guy.] https://www.yahoo.com/news/letters-editor-joe-biden-fantastic-100052077.html- 225 replies

I don't recall climate change being the dominate agenda in 2020, but I do recall Trump losing.
-
Hmmm.....you want to see young people doing something about it. When Greta Thunberg travels the world to preach environmental awareness, are you one of those guys who attack her mercilessly? Or do you think there should be more like her?
-
This thread is full of old guys opining. But among younger people (and younger voters), climate change and the environment in general is about the most important issue in their lives. Understandably so as they'll be around longer to deal with the consequences of man-made climate change. So these old guys praising and worshiping Trump for his nutty beliefs, you're on the wrong side of history.

Turkish Fitness Trainer Nabbed On Charges Of Defrauding Rich Thai Women
Berkshire replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
This is rather hard to believe. If they're old wealthy women, believable. But young rich hotties don't normally want anything to do with farangs. -
US English teacher arrested for sexual relation with 16 y/o student
Berkshire replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
The PROTECT Act was enacted in 2003. So don't think it would apply to the likes of Jerry Lee and Elvis. Besides, that law was aimed at Americans exploiting minors overseas. -
US English teacher arrested for sexual relation with 16 y/o student
Berkshire replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Not only did they have sex, the perv took videos. The mother has even accused the guy of giving her daughter gonorrhea. Not sure why some of you are defending this guy. He's a sexual predator, preying on very young girls. This current situation is not his first rodeo. -
US English teacher arrested for sexual relation with 16 y/o student

Read the thread title. He was arrested for having sexual relations with a 16 yr old without the parents' consent. As for the US law, should be plainly obvious. -

Geez man, haven't you read some of these other posts that detail the specific crimes that this guy committed? Nevermind Thailand, this guy is an American and he violated American law. [Under the Prosecutorial Remedies and Other Tools to End the Exploitation of Children Today Act of 2003 (PROTECT Act), it is a crime, prosecutable in the United States, for a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident to engage in illicit sexual conduct in a foreign country with a person under the age of 18, whether or not the U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident intended to engage in such illicit sexual conduct prior to going abroad.] https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/emergencies/arrest-detention/crimes-against-minors.html -

So you're perfectly ok with a teacher banging his underage student? I'd imagine most parents would not agree with your "moral stance." -

Agree. The Thai authorities can easily contact US authorities and the dude is toast. Impeachment? Republicans will first have to figure out what they're impeaching Joe Biden for. It will have to be a charge that doesn't require evidence as they clearly don't have any.

Trump trial in Fulton County will be televised, judge says
Berkshire replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The most relentless and vile haters in America are Trump and his supporters. There is simply no disputing this. -
Sounds like a Trump presidency would fulfill your wildest wet dreams. You must know that it'll never happen. Trump will never be POTUS again. You should try for something more plausible. Like, say, maybe one morning you'll wake up and look like a young Brad Pitt....555

Trump inflated net worth by $2.2 billion, NY attorney general alleges
Berkshire replied to Social Media's topic in World News
It's amazing to me that Trump--a self-proclaimed rich guy--has to go begging his flock to part with their measly income. It appears even that is not enough. His sheep will need to send more! Trump is running out of other people's money to pay lawyers. Save America PAC is almost broke https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-running-other-peoples-money-092036400.html -
Do you really think drugs should be legalised ?
Berkshire replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Yes, legalize drugs for adults....with the caveat that committing crimes while under the influence is absolutely no excuse. Drunk driving comes to mind. Adults should be allowed the freedom to make choices for themselves and also be held to account. -
POLL: Most Americans want Trump found guilty !
Berkshire replied to Social Media's topic in World News
One can argue that being a Trump supporter is about the most un American thing one can do. -
The only people who will "view this as an attack on Americas democracy" are people who already support Trump. The majority of Americans will see this as Trump finally paying for his crimes.
