I've had my Honda CRV 2.4 Ltr (petrol) 4WD for 10 1/2 years now - 118,000 km even. Honda released an updated version a couple of years later called an "AWD", which was slightly bigger body. The only other consideration for an SUV back in 2014 was the Nissan Xtrail, but the Honda dealership was more professional.

I started off being kind of (hate that expression) "anti-mask" but changed my mind due to (1) the fact that most - if not all - Thais were wearing masks and (2) watching that Thai government official scolding Farangs on the BTS for not wearing masks. On a lighter note, I observed a lady in the next village - while looking out of an upstairs window - attending to her flower pots on the road outside her gate while wearing a mask... maybe the flowers smelt not so good?

This suggestion might be totally unhelpful in your situation at present, but maybe for the future: 1. Deposit your 800k in Bangkok bank in a one-year fixed account (currently paying around 1% - either gross or net, need to check). My bank just renews it every year and rolls over the interest; the only time I go to the bank - in this regard - is to get my annual letter for Immigration.

Congratulations on obtaining your CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults). I did my CELTA - in Chaing Mai - in 2009. I originally booked it for 2006, but it took me 3 years to come up to scratch with the Grammar requirement. (When I went to Secondary school - failed my 11 plus - in the late 1960s, Grammar was what I call implicit - included with English if you like.) Learning Verb Tenses to perfection 40 years after leaving school was no easy feat. However, a more suitable course to prepare you for your KG job would have been a TEFL followed by a TEYL.
