    Thanks LennyW.

    Trophy for that accurate info.

    So much bad editing now.

I am not so sure that it is bad editing. My thoughts are that the articles are written with the help of AI, and simply posted without editing, in the hope that AI got it right in the first place.

I have a feeling that AI is used here, as I had to carefully edit and retype my last sentence. In 30 words, I corrected 12 errors.

Trump is making political capital out of Biden stumbling in.

Many in "the West" have long been suspect of Americas tendency to abandon it's allies if politically expedient. There is no shortage of precedents. Biden's fumbling incoherent moves to limit weapons supplied to Israel are not entirely unexpected.

Biden is a fool. Trump is climbing on a bandwagon.

If the former president (Trump), is lambasting the current President (Joe Biden), then the current legally elected President (Joe Biden) is doing the right and proper thing.

The become our problem only when they cross the border to rape, bomb and kill. Once they behave you can take care of them if you wish.

How about when Israel and the IDF cross the border to murder Palestinians, destroy Palestinians homes, steal their land, destroy their infrastructure. not allow essentials like food, medicines, water, fuel etc?

    Is that OK with you?

Did he hit the jackpot now?

I think they should let him stay because of his skills to sail under radar.🙏

But he didn't sail under the radar.

    quote from the OP.

"The investigation was initiated based on local residents' tips about the harmful and destructive behavior of an alien, identified as Mr Harald. The suspect, who is suspected of being mentally unstable and a threat to society, did not have a fixed address and frequently stayed in hotels."

I wonder, if he had not caused any commotion, and was not reported to the Immigration Police, would they have even bothered looking for him.

I got an 11,000 baht visa fine.  The Nonthaburi immigration office looked at their own stamps done a year ago and disputed it.  Litterly a few desks apart in the office.  They gave me a choice of leave in 24 hours or pay the fine.  Animals.

Did you not check the visa yourself, before you left the office that issued it?

You are completely wrong about that. The government's website even has section devoted to 'Veterans UK'. You can visit it right here. Veterans UK And I am proud to be classified as one of them.

In passing, I've read most of the entries on this thread and I don't I've come across a bigger load of rubbish as I have today. So you're in good company.

Thank you for the Veterans UK link.

I will make the effort to fill in the form tomorrow or at the weekend.

  7. I have that same strip on my pc and I only use Chrome as a browser. I don't bother try to use my mobile to read AN.

I also use an Ad blocker to block ads on every site that I use.

Now, but only when I am on AN, I get a 90% pop up screen from AN asking me to disable my Ad blocker, but only for AN. as they need Ad subscriptions to pay for the site. I simply click on the little cross and it disappears.

I have nothing against that, but the reason for an Ad blocker is to block ALL ads on EVERY site.

  8. The headline reads

Thaksin's Unofficial Involvement in Myanmar Conflict Questioned

If it is unofficial, why is there a hoo haa about it?

Is Thaksin not allowed to talk to anybody he wishes to?

It is not exactly as though Thailand and ASEAN have achieved anything positive in their talks with the Myanmar junta generals over the decades.

If the government wants the weed shops closed they all must revive compensation..

But whats really going to happen is..

The weed shops will be told they are still free to sell legal weed with .02 THC or less........lol

I am sure no one will have a problem with paying 100-200 baht a gram for dirt weed...

Thousands of weed shop owners will be left in serious debt and bankrupt..

Why should the government give them compensation? Did the government order shops to be opened to sell weed.

IMO they opened because they thought it would be an easy way to make money.

If any compensation is paid, then Anutin and the BJT party should personally pay it themselves, as they started this whole mess.

  10. Perhaps President Biden should remind the Israeli government that there is an international right to freedom of speech and that there is also a right not to destroy property, especially in a country which is not yours.

In the USA the students are lucky that they were arrested by the police. Palestinians in their own country would simply be shot and killed by the IDF for daring to protest. The students in the USA are not starved, nor do they lack food, water, medicines, shelter and the other essentials of life like the Palestinians are, in their own country.

Significant word is paused. Similar to a "pause" in fighting while hostages are released , then israel can get back to blowing up everything with no need to hold back.

I'll be more impressed if the US stops sending the bombs and bullets PERIOD.

    Me too.

In todays BBC News site there is this.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-68980820

There is more in the link.

"If they go into Rafah, I'm not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah," he said during an interview with CNN.

He added that he would "continue to make sure Israel is secure".

Despite firm and vocal US opposition, Israel appears poised to mount a large-scale invasion of Rafah.

    Also from the link.

"But a leading member of Mr Netanyahu's Likud party in Israel told the BBC's Newshour on Wednesday he believed US domestic political considerations were behind the decision to halt the delivery of bombs.

"I totally disagree that the American election has nothing to do with it," said Boaz Bismuth, a member of both the Israeli parliament and the foreign affairs and defence committee."

What is happening in the American election has nothing to do with it," said Boaz Bismuth.

It certainly has nothing to do with Boaz Bismuth.

To me at least, President Biden is using stronger 'diplomatic language' to Israel to make his point clearer to the Israeli government. Whether Netanyahu and his war cabinet, listen and understand is a different problem.

Since it is blatant vote buying we need another Army "intervention".

YOU might think so, but I suspect that millions of THAI VOTERS may disagree with you. After all, it is their country and not yours.

I hope that you are speaking for yourself only and anybody who may agree with you.

"We" is a plural term. and you certainly do NOT speak for me, nor my Thai family or my Thai friends.
