The only 2 salient points:
1 - Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra’s administration is proposing licensing mandates, though stopping short of an outright ban on recreational use, likely due to political pressure from Bhumjaithai. So the likelihood of any strict ban or penalties for recreational use still seems very low.
2 - Cannabis users or buyers must present medical certificates and prescriptions issued by certified medical professionals, including both traditional and general practitioners. Usage will be limited to specific medical conditions like epilepsy, insomnia, and chronic headaches.
So under the new framework, getting a valid medical certificate to continue using cannabis legally would just mean visiting any neighborhood clinic and paying (presumably no more than ฿500) for a medical certificate stating you suffer from chronic insomnia and headaches and require daily cannabis use. Done. Palava over.
To me, it sounds like another nothingburger. Just optics. The government wants to appear proactive against recreational use, but in practice, nothing really changes. Just a minor nuisance to get a one-time medical certificate, then back to business as usual.
Thank you for answering the question that I had not got around to asking.
Where do I get hold of one of these letters.
I only use the flowers for medicinal purposes.
Steeped in honey and boiling water as an infusion, left to cool, decanted into a 500ml plastic bottle then into the fridge, for me at least, it seems to ease the osteo-arthritis in my knees. It doesn't silence my nightly bladder alarm as I still wake up every 2 hours or so for a pee, but at 81 years old it is a small price to pay.

The plane is a gift from the Qatari royal family and is estimated to be worth $400m (£300m). The White House says that the new plane will be transferred to Trump's presidential library at the end of his term.
So it will NOT belong to the USA at all, but to Trump.

good luck wasting half your waking hours chasing down lower prices.
We have a weekly (Thai) market on a Monday afternoon. Wednesday morning and Saturday afternoon, in addition to the daily market (7 days a week) as well as the local shops, all within 6 km with good parking. My wife does most of the food shopping.
We also do a bulk shop once a month in Kamphaeng Phet and I log the prices on a spreadsheet every time we go, so, NO we don't waste half our waking hours chasing down lower prices.

@Bkk Brianis correct. The ICC was in a bit of a bind when it came to arrest warrants over the Gaza conflict. It would be absurd to issue warrants for Israel's leaders for their response to the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks while not issuing warrants for the perpetrators of the attacks. However, ICC warrants for the leaders of Hamas would require South Africa, Ireland, Spain and other Hamas-friendly countries to apprehend those leaders and that would place those countries in a very awkward position. They absolutely don't want to arrest the leaders of Hamas. Placing warrants on dead Hamas leaders gives the impression the ICC is putting equal pressure on both sides of the Gaza conflict while not requiring signatories of the Treaty of Rome to actually arrest active Hamas leaders.
And what kind of a situation would it put the USA in, whose government (not the people of the USA) under Trump is fully committed to supporting Israel.
It will make NO difference at all, as both Israel and the USA are NOT signatories of the ICC and simply ignore any ICC rulings.

If you knew her side of the story, please explain what you would do about it.
I am sure that the Daily Mail or the Sun will be along in the next day or two explaining their version of her version of what happened.
The only people that really need to know are the police in Sri Lanka, plus the judge and jury (if they have one) at the trial.

https://nosweatshakespeare.com/quotes/famous/sup-with-the-devil/
He who sups with the Devil should have a long spoon’ is a medieval idiom that Shakespeare refers to twice in his plays.
Its literal meaning is that if you get involved with the Devil you should have the means of keeping your distance. Metaphorically, eating with the Devil is dangerous and you should do it with a long spoon so that you don’t get too close.
It’s a lovely idiom and so true – that if you begin to get involved with bad things you will most likely be drawn in, so if you have to deal with bad people you should keep your distance – be very careful not to be drawn into their bad projects. It’s a wonderful image of someone sitting far away from their sinister eating companion, making sure they don’t get too close by, using a long spoon to take their food. Sharing a meal with someone usually means you are already on quite good terms with them or that you want to get to know them better. If you agree to partake of the Devil’s hospitality, you are on dangerous ground and need to beware.

Interesting that she was travelling from Bangkok, just like the girl who did the same thing and was caught in Georgia. Smuggling cannabis from Thailand is obviously big business. These two got caught, but presumably many get through.
Perhaps (but I have no real idea) Thai customs was tipped off and let her through. Possibly they tipped of Sri Lankan customs who nabbed her on arrival.
Good for both sets of customs officials, and good for inter country relationships as well.
Mules and what they carry are expendable and I have no doubt that there are plenty of both freely available.

There is NO Palestine, and never was
More BS post from you.
Try doing some research before you post.
There actually was NO Israel before it was carved out pf Palestine in 1948, by the USA from the British administration which inherited it from the League of Nations which won it from the Turkish Ottoman empire after WW1.
British administered Palestine
The Balfour Declaration was a 1917 letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Lord Lionel Walter Rothschild, a leader of the British Jewish community, expressing the British government's support for "the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people". This declaration, while a pivotal moment in the history of Zionism and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, has a complex and debated legacy.

The term "Palestine" as a geographic area has a long history, dating back to ancient times. While the region has been inhabited for millennia, the name "Palestine" itself has been used in different contexts over time. The term "Palestine" is derived from the Greek word Philistia, which was associated with the Philistines, a group that inhabited the area around the 12th century BCE. The word "Palestine" itself doesn't appear in written records until the 5th century BCE.
Here's a more detailed look at the history:However I would not expect anything better from you, who obviously has never researched or studied history.
You can bluster and shout all you like, yet you are still wrong, unless of course you can back your claim up with verifiable facts and links.

The end has always been there, release all the hostages and surrender, nothing to do with the Dutch government
Would that include Israel releasing ALL the Palestinians that they are holding, clearing Gaza of ALL the Israeli settlers, completely lifting the illegal land, sea and air blockade. Israel, completely rebuilding Gaza, Israel pulling all of their military out of Gaza. the West Bank, Syria, Lebanon and ALL the other countries that they have invaded? Paying reparations and rebuilding those countries, agreeing to a 2 state solution, and Israel staying within its own borders?
Should I mention handing Netanyahu, his entire WAR cabinet and ALL the senior Israeli senior officers to the IVV foe war crimes and crimes against humanity?
Without that happening why do you think that ON:Y the Palestinians should surrender? The Palestinians are fighting to keep their own country. The Israelis are fighting to destroy it completely.

Just now, swerve said:They should move somewhere. Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria are maybe the most suitable places. No one seems to want them.
Why should the Palestinians HAVE to move from their own country?
Perhaps the Israeli's should learn to live within their own international borders, in their own country, that was carved out of Palestine back in 1948. Perhaps they should learn NOT yo invade other countries, to steal land and slaughter innocent men, women, children and babies. To stop bombing hospitals and schools, to stop blocking deliveries pf food, fuel and medicines, and learn to live like civilised human beings.

The problems are both the owner and the dogs. Dogs learn from humans , if owned, how to live with and respond to stimuli from others around them. if the dogs aren't taught respect for life, they will do what a dog will do, which is show dominance around other animals, and sometimes will kill. Most of the time a dog will fight until it's opponent gives in. If there is no respect, they are like wild animals, who fight to the death many times.
That a Pit can kill is obvious, but there are thousands of pits that will never think of harming another animal or a human because they have been taught since birth who the leader is, and what's expected.
Many people buy pits for the ego, and never train them, keeping them in yards without any hugs or love, and the dog will just be a dog. If it senses a threat to it's property or owners, it will attack.
That they are built like they are is what causes the severe damage. Like another mentioned, a Cocker Spaniel can attack and bite, but you can ward it off with little damage to yourself. If a pit attacks, you have to fight back with extreme prejudice to survive.
My hunting buddy had a Cocker Spaniel that tried to bite everyone that went near it besides me. They can sense a good person that's not a threat, although there are other reasons a dog will just bite anyone,as they could remind them of something they don't like. A smell, tone of voice, posture, height etc. They get a bad rap because many attack people, which is often deserved. It's not all pits though.
Who are you trying to convince?
Yourself or the rest of the world.
If pit bulls and their variants are so cuddly and friendly, why are the being banned in so many countries for being viscous animals?

It is time that the police were given the authority and the duty to kill all pit bulls and their variations after something like this happens. Don't bother trying to rehome the dogs or trying to retrain them. If Thai vets refuse to put the animals down, then find somebody who will. If the owners protest, then add 100,000 thb to their fine and a year to their jail sentence.
But DO something and don't just talk about iy or kick the can down the road as usual. That will NOT fix the problem.
