  1. However from the OP quote "Their meager monthly income of around 400-500 Baht, from selling collected items, is used for food and drinking water. The pair don't have identification cards, depriving them of any social security benefits." As they have no ID cards they actually get nothing from the government at all. Compare that with a story in the Post where an elephant was flown from Sri Lanka to Thailand for treatment. Or another story in the Post where the 83 year old wife of the chairman of the CP group had her funerial rites at a vast expense. But it doesn't matter as they are dirt poor, and of no consequence to anybody. Sarcasm mode is off (I think).
  2. Therefore that would also apply to the Trump voters, unless they are something special and different.
  3. How many 80 year olds do you know who have been in politics for decades, let alone successfully run and won the race to become POTUS?
  4. That comment says far more about you than the US voter. Popular vote at the 2020 presidential election 81,283,501[1] for President Biden 74,223,975[1] for ex president Trump So in in your opinion 81,283,501 US voters who voted for President Biden are clueless but the other 74,223,975 voters who voted for ex president Trump are smart. How come Trump lost the election then?
  5. What was that you were whining about? Trying to deflect the thread which has NOTHING to do with Thailand, again. If you want to be consistent, then stay on topic.
  6. Why should he just to keep the whiners, moaners quiet?
  7. People the world over actually have NO vote in the USA. It is down to the US voter and if they are happy with the status quo, that is what really matters. If President Biden is so bad as you claim, and Trump or anyone else is so much better, Why did Trump LOSE the electoral college vote AND the popular vote? Why is Trump NOT the president? It is not as if President Biden was/is a newcomer to politics. He has been in US politics for many decades. Your words. Also your words. Why don't YOU stop trying to deflect the thread?
  8. Actually you are correct. THEY are the ones who are wrong.
  9. Those Russians would never invade other countries or do what you claim that the US has done, would they? Now look at Russia today in the Ukraine, in Syria and going back there was East Germany, and all the other countries in the European communist block, Hungary, Poland etc, North Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, China, Afghanistan, South America, Myanmar even today etc. That is the problem with bias. You only look at one side and ignore the other. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Russian_military_bases_abroad https://www.cfr.org/in-brief/what-russias-wagner-group-doing-africa https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wagner_Group The Wagner Group (Russian: Группа Вагнера, tr. Gruppa Vagnera), officially known as PMC Wagner[6] (Russian: ЧВК[a] «Вагнер», tr. ChVK «Vagner»[55]; lit. 'Wagner Private Military Company'), is a Russian state-funded[56] paramilitary organization.[6] It is a private military company (PMC) composed of mercenaries, and has been described as a de facto private army of Russian President Vladimir Putin's former close ally Yevgeny Prigozhin.[6][57] The group operates beyond the law in Russia, where private military companies are officially forbidden.[58][59][57] There is evidence that Wagner was used as a proxy by the Russian government, allowing the Russian state to have plausible deniability for military operations abroad, and allowing it to hide the true casualties of Russia's foreign intervention The Wagner Group has established operations in several African countries, where many of its operations focus on security issues. It has often provided security services and paramilitary assistance and launched disinformation campaigns for troubled regimes in exchange for resource concessions and diplomatic support. Wagner is most active in the Central African Republic (CAR), Libya, Mali, and Sudan, all of which have a tenuous relationship with the West due to colonial legacies and inherent political differences.
  10. Fox "News" wants me to disable my Ad blocker and allow their adverts. Skip the thread. Thank you for the link. It is far more informative than the OP from Fox "News". It seems as though it is a health hazard in the home and workplaces. quote from the link "Since 1980, at least 85 people have died from acute exposure to methylene chloride, largely workers engaged in home renovation contracting work and even, in some cases, while fully trained and equipped with personal protective equipment. Many more have experienced severe and long-lasting health impacts, including certain cancers. Still, use of methylene chloride has remained widespread, even after EPA banned one consumer use in 2019. Methylene chloride is used in a variety of ways including consumer uses such as aerosol degreasers and brush cleaners for paints and coatings, commercial applications such as adhesives and sealants, and in industrial settings for making other chemicals. For example, methylene chloride is used as a chemical intermediate in the production of hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) 32, which is used in refrigerant blends developed to replace substances with higher global warming potential.
  11. Well he would say that, wouldn't he. How is the Thai High Speed Train system getting on?
  12. Quote from the link "Meanwhile, Saowakon Polchimphan, a teacher, said that a recent meeting with authorities resolved that the school will trim the trees to destroy the habitat of the birds." Do you understand the difference between trimming the trees and cutting them down? Just imagine the smell from 4,000 heaps of bird crap and dead birds. Would you be willing to go and clear up the mess?
  13. It must be true because you say it is. OTOH many other people may completely disagree with you. YMMV
  14. In addition to your response to @Goat https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2019/03/16/inventions-you-have-women-inventors-thank-these-50-things/39158677/
  15. The first verse from a movie South Pacific Happy talkin', talkin', happy talk Talk about things you'd like to do You've got to have a dream If you don't have a dream How you gonna have a dream come true Most Thais have dreams and some of them come true. And why not? After all If you don't have a dream How you gonna have a dream come true
  16. IMHO it will be very hard especially on daily workers with no job security. People who only get a job day by day. If they are not needed, then no work or pay until work becomes available. Those paid weekly and every week need to get 1 months money in advance and for the next 3 months they only get 3 weeks salary per month until the advance is paid off. It may cause a big problem in a small business with their cash flow, and perhaps some may go out of business, resulting in no jobs for weekly or daily paid staff.
  17. Yet you seem to prefer a serial liar and a person who has been indicted for crimes. But it is OK by many including you, if it is against President Biden, but NOT if it refers to ex president Trump.
  18. I was lucky enough to choose a 28 year old with long black hair weighing around 44kg. Now she is a tad less than 50 kg, going grey gracefully (not dying it black all the time) and will be 58 this year. I only needed to choose once and was lucky enough to get it right the first time.
  19. The worst part was in Bahrain, sitting in the wing in the heat, pumping engine oil into the overload oil tanks while the BP Bahraini crew were on the ground hand pumping engine oil into the main tanks.
  20. It all depends on the line you wish to take. @SunnyinBangrak is always clutching at any straw that shows President Biden in a negative light. It doesn't even have to be true as long, as he can throw it and make something stick.
  21. Thank you. My thought is that the more "natural" hydrogen you remove, the longer it takes to replace it to the same amount. It seems as though there is a finite amount available for use and when it is used up it will take a fair amount of time to replace it. I just found an interesting link, but it is a very very long read about natural hydrogen exploration. https://www.science.org/content/article/hidden-hydrogen-earth-may-hold-vast-stores-renewable-carbon-free-fuel
  22. It is called coalition sharing, or a compromise? and a good one too. My only thought is that I am 79 and he is a few days older than me.
  23. I opened my account at the BigC sub branch of BKK in Kamphaeng Phet a few years ago because it was open at the weekends and parking was easy.. Recently it has been shut down completely and I assume that my account went back to the main branch where parking is harder.
