Who actually authorised the running away withdrawal from Afghanistan without any workable plan to do so. How about ex president Trump? You may have noticed that I provided a link in my response to you, something that you may have forgotten to do. No matter as I am sure that you will find a different link which shows mine as completely wrong, perhaps. https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/US-Withdrawal-from-Afghanistan.pdf There are 12 pages in this document. President Biden’s choices for how to execute a withdrawal from Afghanistan were severely constrained by conditions created by his predecessor. When President Trump took office in 2017, there were more than 10,000 troops in Afghanistan. Eighteen months later, after introducing more than 3,000 additional troops just to maintain the stalemate, President Trump ordered direct talks with the Taliban without consulting with our allies and partners or allowing the Afghan government at the negotiating table. In September 2019, President Trump embolded the Taliban by publicly considering inviting them to Camp David on the anniversary of 9/11. In February 2020, the United States and the Taliban reached a deal, known as the Doha Agreement, under which the United States agreed to withdraw all U.S. forces from Afghanistan by May 2021. In return, the Taliban agreed to participate in a peace process and refrain from attacking U.S. troops and threatening Afghanistan’s major cities—but only as long as the United States remained committed to withdraw by the agreement’s deadline. As part of the deal, President Trump also pressured the Afghan government to release 5,000 Taliban fighters from prison, including senior war commanders, without securing the release of the only American hostage known to be held by the Taliban. Over his last 11 months in office, President Trump ordered a series of drawdowns of U.S. troops. By June 2020, President Trump reduced U.S. troops in Afghanistan to 8,600. In September 2020, he directed a further draw down to 4,500. A month later, President Trump tweeted, to the surprise of military advisors, that the remaining U.S.troops in Afghanistan should be “home by Christmas!” On September 28, 2021, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Milley testified that, on November 11, he had received an unclassified signed order directing the U.S. military to withdraw all forces from Afghanistan no later than January 15, 2021. One week later, that order was rescinded and replaced with one to draw down to 2,500 troops by the same date. During the transition from the Trump Administration to the Biden Administration, the outgoing Administration provided no plans for how to conduct the final withdrawal or to evacuate Americans and Afghan allies. Indeed, there were no such plans in place when President Biden came into office, even with the agreed upon full withdrawal just over three months away.

Who cares that you have so many CC? -
Probably, like me, he was damn good at his job. Of course you can fire them. It is called a reduction in force, and they are no longer needed. The good ones can rise IF they are selected on merit grounds only and NOT Buggins turn next.

I had to give all that up. My wife hired a guy for the grass and scrub clearance and paid him 1,200 thb for one day and 2 half days, We provided the kruang, the gasoline, the angle grinder and the nylon strips and he did the hard work. he did more in one day and 2 half days than I used to manage an hour a day for 3 weeks. He cleared about 5 rai.

LTFT Submits Evidence on Overloaded Lorry Bribe

quote from the OP About 20 per cent of truck drivers paid for those stickers, available from 3,000-20,000 baht per month. IMHO I don't think that any truck drivers paid for the stickers. I believe the companies owning the trucks paid for the stickers. -
Reform of the military by the military? Who said that the generals don't have a sense of humour? They have had 9 years to do that, and only managed to reduce the force by 8,000 men.
-
Of course you can kick them out. It is called a reduction of force. Only about 10 or a dozen active service generals are needed. Simply dump the surplus ones as not required. They get their pensions only, no military house, car. driver, servants. Just the same as retired generals world wide. If they want more money then get a real job, NOT in politics, and work for it using their military skills.

The demise of the village ATM.

And absolutely no government ever tracks the use of credit cards. I used to have about 6 cc but got rid of them all years ago. I have only one debit card and I know to the satang exactly how much money I have, and I know I can never spend more money than I actually have. I pay no interest and my card fee is about 200 thb a year. If I want or need something and I don't have the money, then either I save for it or I simply go without it. I can remember being in a supermarket queue in NZ many years ago behind a woman who had maxed out 10 cards and even then couldn't pay the bill. She moved off, I paid cash to the thank you of the cashier. Cashin hand = job done. -

I mostly use cash from the KBank ATM in the big village some 6 km away. We have lived out here for 19 years and the nearest ATM (s plural now) are in the big village) along with KBank which is still the only bank around unless we go to the amphur village 14 km away, or to Kamphaeng Phet 65 km away. -
I am a little bit luckier than you as my Mum died in 1976 while I was in the RAF, and my wifes Mum died here at our home about 6 years ago. Her Dad died in BKK about 3 years ago. Now she has to start again with me at 79, and has taken over the jobs that I used to do including the laundry and having to drive me around. Luckily for both of us, to quote from many threads, our wives ARE different, loving and caring.

I am so sorry to hear about your mother. You have my deepest sympathy.
-
Still not showing any sympathy for the innocent murdered victim I see. She was claiming her RIGHTS as the owner of the property no matter how many times you bleat that the law is the law. It might well be IF both parties adhere to the law. However one party didn't and an innocent victim was murdered, and for what? Misplaced pride, face? The house is mine and nobody else can have it? It is about time that you grew up and faced reailty.

Trump Calls On DeSantis To Stop 'Woke' Disney In Flip-Flop On Feud
billd766 replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
So you are the one that hates Disney. If you hate it then don't watch it. I stopped watching most films in the 1980s but I don' hate any of the film companies. Most people's tastes change over the years. -
So where is the proof, or do we just take your word for it. And your word frankly isn't worth anything.
-
Do you actually have ANY proof of what you have posted? You seem to know more than the agencies who have been investigating the case on the ground for a long while, If so please send it to the FBI, the DoJ, the social media and don't forget to post it on this thread. If you don't then your post is full of your usual bull droppings.
