I had 2 stents put in back in 2006 and my heartbeat is arrhythmatic but it has been for years. My BP is OK but a little low and my weight is is a bit high. I quit smoking back in 1970 and I quit drinking alcohol in 2020 as I found that I was drinking 3 or 4 750ml bottles of Hong Thong a week. I have drunk a bottle with ice and soda in one night before, but I now only drink water with Oral Rehydration Salts (orange flavoured) with Blue Boy Sala to make it taste better,

My wife had her own car before we met many years ago. She is a good driver and hopefully a life saver for me. One of the hardest things I have ever done was to say goodnight and I love you to both my wife and son tonight. I will always be here in spirit and hopefully in body also for a few more years Hopefully I will be able to say it many more times but I am not sure of that yet.

I will let you know how I get on.

Almost £42 for a quiche lorraine!

To me that is one of the nicest treat that I can give myself, and sooooo tasty straight from the fridge. -
How strange. The good doctor has received a sort of promotion. It must have been good to have low friends in high places. Jackson joined the White House Medical Unit in the mid-2000s under George W. Bush, and served as Physician to the President from 2013 to 2018 under Barack Obama and Donald Trump.[2][3] On March 28, 2018, Trump nominated Jackson to be United States secretary of veterans affairs to succeed David Shulkin.[3][4][5] On April 23, 2018, allegations of misconduct and mismanagement during his service in the White House were reported.[6][7][8] The administration disputed the allegations.[9][10] Concern was also expressed about Jackson's lack of management experience.[3][11] On April 26, 2018, Jackson withdrew his nomination as Secretary of Veterans Affairs.[10][12][13] On February 2, 2019, Trump appointed Jackson Assistant to the President and Chief Medical Advisor, a new position in the Executive Office.[14] Jackson retired from the Navy on December 1, 2019,[15] and on December 9, he filed to run for Congress in Texas's 13th congressional district. Placing second in the Republican primary, he won a runoff for the nomination[16] and the November 3, 2020, general election. https://www.google.com/search?q=doctor+ronny+jackson&rlz=1C1CHBF_enTH1026TH1026&sxsrf=APwXEdcjGqGue6wZ3utABwp6DRWHhrmofQ%3A1684752884775&ei=9ElrZKOCL9Lf4-EPpL-D2AE&gs_ssp=eJzj4tVP1zc0TE_LqDAoS0o3YPQSSclPLskvUijKz8urVMhKTM4uzs8DAOQ2DNQ&oq=doctor+Ronny+Jackson&gs_lcp=Cgxnd3Mtd2l6LXNlcnAQARgAMgUILhCABDIICAAQigUQhgMyCAgAEIoFEIYDMhMILhCABBCXBRDcBBDeBBDfBBgBOgoIABBHENYEELADOgcIIxCwAhAnOgYIABAHEB46BwgAEA0QgAQ6CAgAEAgQBxAeOgYIABAeEA06CAgAEAUQBxAeSgQIQRgAUJAuWPNHYNdfaAFwAXgAgAFuiAGeBZIBAzYuMZgBAKABAcgBCMABAdoBBggBEAEYFA&sclient=gws-wiz-serp

Thank you. I am 78 and was fine up until I slipped over last October and I have gone slowly downhill since.

I think I know the one you are on about. It is on the inner ring road just past the 7/11 on the right. Hopefully all I need is the bottle, a regulator and a mask. I just spoke to my wife and she also knows where that place is so we will go up in the morning.

Thank you Sheryl. I have had 2 blackouts in 6 months, The first in December I am not too sure if I blacked out or I stumbled. I woke up on the floor upstairs with no idea what happened. The second was in February. I aled up to the kitchen about 25 to 30 metres away and sat for a while before I made my lunch. It seems that the postman found me, my wife was out in the village so he called my neighbour. She called an ambulance who took me to the local hospital, who sent me straight on to the state hospital where I woke up. I had no idea where I was, how I got there or even what day and time it was. My wife took me home 3 days later and luckily I had moved downstairs a few days earlier so it was easy for her to keep an eye on me. This short of breath thing I have had for a while but it has got a bit worse in the last week. Most of the time I am OK but I struggle with breathing sometimes. After I sit, relax and take a few slow deep breaths I am OK, until the next time. The nearest big pharmacies to me are probably in Kamphaeng Phet some 65 km away as I live in rural Thailand. I quit driving after my blackout in February so my wife is now the duty driver. I hope that other posters will read this and the other Health threads because you never know when something may happen to you, especially if you live out in the sticks like me. Thank you once again for your help and information. I will chase up the oxygen tomorrow as it is too late today. The hospital trip will be done asap.

Can the mods put this into the right forum please with a heading of Personal Oxygen Bottle I apologise for going off topic but for some reason I cannot find the health forum. Does anybody know where I can get hold of a small personal oxygen bottle as I am having a problem with breathing at times. I have an appointment at the local state hospital on Monday 29th May. I will ask there if they have any for loan, rent or hire, or if they know somewhere around Kamphaeng Phet where I can get hold of one. I can walk about 25 to 30 metres and then I have to sit down, relax and take slow deep breaths for a few minutes before I can do anything. It is so frustrating.

Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain's guitar sells for nearly $600,000
billd766 replied to Social Media's topic in Entertainment
If it still works (and it doesn't) it would be worth about a fiver to me. Because it doesn't work it is only fit for the trash bin. If somebody paid $600,00 for it, that proves my Mum was right. Some people have more money than sense. -
quote "I purchased my home about 8 years ago it was built some 13 years ago with all the approvals from the Mayor's office etc, back in December they started to construct the new Soi after years of erosion buy the rains we get, the road way has dropped at least 12 inches since I purchased the property but the Mayor's office is refusing to help me with this problem and it is such a simple problem to repair. I myself am a retired General Contractor so I know what I'm talking about, the road has dropped some 3 feet and it's easy to increase the depth of the side concrete drain walls at light to no cost but the Mayor's office is refusing to help. Telling me instead to destroy my driveway and remove the electric gate instead of raising the roadway up to meet the current property height. I have been to there office twice only to be lied to and receive No help I'm hoping that people here can offer some advice or help in this matter please look at the photos and ask yourself what would you do in my situation, I'm turning 58 soon and can not climb up 3 feet of wall to enter my home". It appears that the OP is not really homeless at all, he just has a problem accessing his house. The Mayors office seems to be trying to improve the road drainage for ALL the residents and not just the OP. As a retired general contractor he should be able to create an access, albeit a temporary one without too much of a problem. 58 is not old. Wait until you are in your 70s and 80s and have a problem walking and then you can complain how hard life is.

Thailand / UK Dual Tax Agreement Queries

quote " President Joe Biden’s critics called out the world leader for telling a reporter to "shush up" while he was meeting with the Australian prime minister at the latest G7 summit in Japan. Annoyed Twitter users slammed Biden as condescending for the command, with some pointing out that if former President Donald Trump had done that to an overzealous member of the press, he wouldn’t have heard the end of it from his usual critics. The brief but tense moment happened while Biden was speaking one on one with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese this weekend at the G7 Summit in Hiroshima, Japan." It just goes to show the ignorance of the reporter, trying to break into a one one one conversation. Annoyed Twitter users. Now that is a laugh in itself.

Thailand / UK Dual Tax Agreement Queries
billd766 replied to Carrbhoy's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
No. They tax the whole of your UK derived income and your pensions ONLY get taxed IF they exceed the £12,570 personal allowance. AFAIK the personal allowance is applied to your pensions first and if they are under the limit, then the balance is applied to any other earned income. https://www.gov.uk/new-state-pension/what-youll-get The full new State Pension is £203.85 per week which is equal to £10,600.02 over 52 weeks.. If that is your sole income, then, NO you will not pay any income tax. Please stop trying to be tricky and lay down exactly how much and what type of income is earned. State how many pensions and what amount is earned and then apply that against the personal allowance. If there is more than one pension and combined they pay more than the allowance, then the balance of the pensions will be taxed at 20%. If there is only one pension and it is below the allowance, NO tax is payable on the pension. I can explain it to you (as I have done several times), I can show you the links to follow, but I cannot understand it for you. I cannot be bothered to answer any more of your posts, as I believe you are just trolling on a serious subject to a lot of posters. -
Thailand / UK Dual Tax Agreement Queries
billd766 replied to Carrbhoy's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
AFAIK being a UK taxpayer since 1959 my 3 pensions are only taxed as UK income sources and I pay no income tax in Thailand. Even when I worked offshore and transferred my salary to Thailand I paid no Thai income tax. I suspect that a lot depends on the dual taxation agreements between Thailand and the other countries, and if you declare that income to the Thai authorities. I also paid withholding tax on my income in the countries that I worked in. -
Thailand / UK Dual Tax Agreement Queries
billd766 replied to Carrbhoy's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
Try researching the topic before commenting. They tax income derived from UK sources only. In addition as a UK citizen you are entitled pensions up to £12,570 tax free. If you earn a pension through a foreign country HMRC will NOT tax it. The country that you earned the pension in may or may not tax it depending on the tax free personal allowance that the country issues. -
