Thailand’s experiment with weed goes up in smoke
billd766 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I used indomethacin 25 mg tablet from the pharmacy OTC at 1.5 baht per tablet 3 times a day. My knee pain was gone in 4 days. My back pain is related to a work accident which buggered my spine and back in 1982 and will never get better. I just live with it. -

Obviously you don't live in rural Thailand. The nearest baht bus to where I live is 6 km away in the big village and does not come this way. The nearest mall, BigC, Makro, Robinsons etc is 65 km away. I don't know anybody who spends over 2.5 million baht per year and 100,000's of gallons of gasoline and diesel every year. Do you? My most expensive month this year was April and I spent 4,320 baht on diesel and I drove 1,433 km. In 2022 my most expensive month was August at 7.780 baht and 2,491 km. If you are going to make outlandish claims try researching the topic first. -

On what grounds? IF they try, it will be after the election results (heavily modified) are published. -

Very few posters on ANN are entitled to vote in the election tomorrow. It will be what the Thai people vote for, and not necessarily what the farangs want. If the Thais vote against it, there is always somewhere in Thailand where it can be bought, as there has been for decades. -

Because it will NOT become a government policy unless the PTP becomes the ruling party with or without a coalition partner. -

So why is it legal to use cannabis for medical purposes but illegal to smoke it in public? -

Because NO law was passed making it legal to smoke pot recreationally. I DO try to keep up to date with things in Thailand. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2023/jan/10/consuming-cannabis-in-thailand-what-tourists-need-to-know-marijuana-weed-rules#:~:text=Smoking it can be done,a three-month prison sentence. Where can you consume it? Smoking it can be done inside an individual’s residence, and cannabis inside food can be consumed at a licensed restaurant. Smoking marijuana in public places such as schools, temples and shopping malls can lead to a 25,000 baht ($750) fine and a three-month prison sentence. As a rule, Chopaka says, people should be aware of not “encroaching” on other people’s space. https://www.tourismthailand.org/Articles/10-things-tourists-need-to-know-about-cannabis-in-thailand 10 Things Tourists need to know about cannabis in Thailand 1. Election Commission must be closely scrutinized this Sunday
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Really? Most of my 18 year old son's mates have finished M6 and are off to uni soon. None of them are children of the elite and most of them are children of poor and middle class families. But they do have internet access and are not all stupid by any means. There are few children of the elite class as there are relatively few elites compared to the majority of That people, but like them majority they still only have one vote each. -

I am serious. Yes you have to explain to me how smoking recreational pot is legal, because it isn't. As for taxes and business rates, that is a risk you take opening any business in Thailand. Why do you think that the police are closing down pot shops? -

Of course it can be shut down. Recreational pot smoking was never made legal anyway. If you have a problem with that then complain to Anutin at the BJT. It IS his problem along with the BJT who supported it.- 325 replies

Thailand’s experiment with weed goes up in smoke

Please explain what benefit to the economy would that be? It has been available in Thailand for decades before Anutin decided to jump on the bandwagon and it will still be available long after he has gone. Potheads will just have to look a little harder, and pay a little more.- 325 replies

Stranded in Thailand: Bankrupt foreign woman unable to return home
billd766 replied to snoop1130's topic in Krabi News
Do you know that she is a member of the Democrat party in the USA? Do you know if President Biden sent her to Thailand deliberately. Your post is so far off topic, other than she is supposedly is from the USA, (only her word for it), even Blind Freddies dog would fall over laughing at it. -
