  1. You seem to have a peculiar hangup about bar girls. Never mind, one day I expect that you will grow up and out of it.
  2. I even managed to hit the triple 20 sometimes. I even made it with 3 darts but not so often.
  3. Thank you. She is also laundry maid, chief cook and bottle washer, chauffeur and all of the other jobs that I can't do any more.
  4. Most of his posts are meaningless anyway. He has been on my ignore list for ages
  5. Hanaguma is posting rubbish with no links yet again.
  6. I am not sure if my marriage is lasting forever but I have been married to my Thai wife for 23 years next week and we have known each other for 30 years in May. I am 78 and my wife is 57, and I figure that if she was going to rip me off she would have done it before now. Our son is 18. Many of the guys I worked with and knew through the Bangkok Darts League in the 1990s are still married to their Thai wives also. Some married for longer than me and some for less. The divorce rate is around 10% or less. Some took their wives back to their home country, and others like me moved to Thailand to live. Some in the cities, some in urban areas and some like me, in rural areas.
  7. back to the OP. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-65233350 From the link. The suspect was named as 25-year-old Connor Sturgeon, who police said used an AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle during the incident and was broadcasting the shooting online. Charlie Kirk. Welcome to another 5 deaths "necessary" to keep the 2nd amendment alive so that numpties can kill innocent people. Fortunately no children were killed or injured in this "incident". However there is a good possibility that parents and grandparents are no longer alive for their husbands, wives, children or grandchildren.
  8. The only way I would get to the water is sit on each step and move my azz down one step at a time. The return trip would be the same but slower, up one step at a time making sure that I can get a grip with my hands first.
  9. And where was their post and link wrong? As usual you post without backing your post up. Please post the link and I will read it.
  10. For at least as long as you keep blaming President Biden for EX president Trump's mistakes.
  11. All just to save the military recruiting officers face. Shame he lost it and more anyway. Just another power crazed numpty.
  12. I did however do a search and post a link. something you should try sometimes. I simply did a search and came up with that as a result. I never changed a thing. Read the report and compare it with my post. Not only I didn't write the link, I have no idea if the authors did a cut and paste. I don't make false or obtuse claims. If I don't know, I do a search and research the subject before I post. Of course if you can find a better link, then please do so, and post it on this thread. I will then read it and if necessary I will do more research.
  13. Having looked at the photo, at 78 years old, I wouldn't have got too close to it.
  14. You are a braver man than I am Gunga Din.
  15. Are you saying that President Biden is responsible for making the whole $33 trillion national debt? https://www.propublica.org/article/national-debt-trump One of President Donald Trump’s lesser known but profoundly damaging legacies will be the explosive rise in the national debt that occurred on his watch. The financial burden that he’s inflicted on our government will wreak havoc for decades, saddling our kids and grandkids with debt. The national debt has risen by almost $7.8 trillion during Trump’s time in office. That’s nearly twice as much as what Americans owe on student loans, car loans, credit cards and every other type of debt other than mortgages, combined, according to data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. It amounts to about $23,500 in new federal debt for every person in the country. There is a lot more information in the link if you are interested.
  16. Perhaps it would be a good idea to go back to the original 2nd amendment but only allow black powder weapons and ban anything made newer than 1800. That way the 2nd amendment would still be available and only weapons made prior to that time to be allowed.
  17. IMO I think he was right to be a little concerned rather than worried. When you are out on your own, as most of us are, It is good to be able to talk to other people through a forum and see if they feel the same way as you do. Having Sheryl on the forum is a great help too. My BP machine is a microlife BP 3AP1-3E.
  18. The OP BP results are a bit like mine, low but acceptable if the Systolic and the Diastolic go below <99 and <59 on a regular basis I would suggest a trip to the doctor or hospital. The odd one or two readings just ignore and repeat the test. The problem I have with low blood pressure is that I had a blackout in March and woke up in hospital 65 km away later with no idea where I was, how long I had been there or even what happened. Now I get up slowly and if I don't feel too bright I simply sit and take slow deep breaths for several minutes. I also take a slow walk around every 30 to 45 minutes just to get my body moving. I am 78 and weighed 113.5 kg this morning. My results from 09 March Sys Dia 105 60 117 68 92 53 104 56 109 71 115 65 126 76 127 74 121 75 118 77 129 64 124 75 117 66 108 74 104 72 118 72 106 64 106 66 117 68 114 64 102 59 97 55
  19. Of course it is easy to get travel insurance from the UK. However to do so and get the full coverage the tourist MUST read ALL the t&c before signing up, know exactly what activities that they will undertake and not vary from that itenary by one iota. Then add up all the costs and pay for the insurance cover. A good idea would be to get in writing from the insurance company, exactly what they will pay for, and the reasons that that won't pay out for. Then and only then should they pay up for the full monte. However if, on their holiday, they do something that invalidates that insurance, then it is unlikely that the insurance company will cover them. Even something as having a beer, getting on somebody else's motorbike with no helmet and getting injured in an accident.
  20. I started working in Thailand in 1993 and I lived through the 2006 and the 2014 coup and nothing has convinced me that ANY military coup does anything good for the people of the country. It didn't do anything in Venezuela in the 1990s either and look at Venezuela now.
  21. And neither do yours. ALL political parties hand out cash and not just one party. As for chucking Thaksin's parties out, that never happened, as their governments were removed by a military coup each time. NOT by your so called "sensible people". I don't care if you believe me or not. Simply do a search of the internet under military coups in Thailand. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Thai_coup_d'état#:~:text=The coup ended the political, reform the monarchy of Thailand. On 22 May 2014, the Royal Thai Armed Forces, led by General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Commander of the Royal Thai Army (RTA), launched a coup d'état, the 12th since the country's first coup in 1932,[1] against the caretaker government of Thailand, following six months of political crisis.[1] The military established a junta called the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) to govern the nation. The coup ended the political conflict between the military-led regime and democratic power, which was still going on from 2006 Thai coup d'état known as the unfinished coup.[2] 7 years later, it has developed into 2020 Thai protests to reform the monarchy of Thailand. Try reading that article ALL the way through.
  22. Rifles to me in the military are/were simply another tool to do a different job, like spanners, screwdrivers etc. As I no longer did that job I didn't need a rifle. In my 2nd career it was mainly hand tools and a laptop. If I was forced to have a gun. I would opt for a hand gun fitted with shotgun shells filled with rock salt. Luckily, nobody is forcing me.
  23. Up to you. But don't bring it to my house as a gun or anybody associated with one is not welcome. The only exceptions are the police and the army. A few years ago somebody dobbed me in for having a rifle. 3 car loads of police and 2 truck loads of the army turned up at 6:30 one morning. It seemed as though I DID have a rifle. Actually not me but the guy who worked for my neighbour. It was air powered and broken anyway. After a thorough search accompanied by my wife that was all they found. They did apologise for the inconvenience, but they never told us who dobbed us in.
  24. Criminals rarely if ever go into schools to kill innocent children or get involved in mass slaughters.
