I skipped the salad and ate bacon bits with 3 smashed up eggs for my evening meal tonight. -
No savings, huge debts: More and more Thai seniors struggling to survive
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Actually I started to pay into my pension with my first job less than a month after I left school at age 15. I will still be paying tax in the UK even though I have lived in Thailand since 2001 until the day I die. My state pension was frozen in 2009 on the day I got it. -

Not if Thailand and their home country have a dual taxation agreement. -
So you have sat on the juries and grand juries and have heard every scrap of evidence and KNOW that all the charges are trumped up. If you have the proof that it is all lies, then simply post it on here, on the social media, to ALL the courts in the USA and to the GOP. If you have no proof at all, and IMHO you have not, then what you do have is nothing. Not even a halfway decent diversion.

Simply by checking the lights etc every day. It isn't rocket science. When I was in the RAF in Germany part of the kit we all had to carry was a set of light bulbs. If you drove with a light out either the military police or the German civil police would stop you, and woe betide you if you had no spare bulb kit. You were fined by both and got points on your licence. No licence or insurance and your posting was terminated and you were sent back to the UK in disgrace. Fail the breathalyser and you were jailed, court martialed and sent back to the UK in disgrace to the crappiest place that they could send you. It also stayed on your records until you were discharged. It did not matter what rank you held.

You are correct, An error on my part, which make the Thai state pension even worse. -
Does this help? https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-65271302 Mr Teixeira worked as an IT specialist in the intelligence wing of the Massachusetts National Guard, based at Otis Air National Guard Base in western Cape Cod. The National Guard is a reservist wing of the US Air Force. They are not employed full time in the military, but can be deployed when necessary. Mr Texeira's official title is Cyber Transport Systems journeyman and he holds the rank of Airman 1st Class - a relatively junior position. It is not clear what level of security clearance Mr Texeira had, but according to the Air Force website, employment in the role requires a single scope background investigation (SSBI). That clearance is reportedly required for access to top secret information.

It5 doesn't matter at this point. Firstly PT has to become the government and get a good look at what is left, if anything, in the treasury. Then they can, if they wish, tweak the distances in the program.. If they need more budget the current government is already supporting 14 plus million Thais, they are also giving away 50% travel and hotel costs most months, the military budget has risen every year since the coup, they could sack 1,000 generals and nobody would notice or care. They could scrap the non completed submarines and the F 35 project, scrap national service, cut the military in half and turn it professional.

Try living on 600 thb anywhere in Thailand without family support for a month then come back and tell us all if Thailand IS really that bad. In GBP that works out at 50p per day. In the UK the 2023 pension is a maximum of https://www.gov.uk/new-state-pension/what-youll-get#:~:text=The full new State Pension, delay) taking your State Pension The full new State Pension is £203.85 per week. The only reasons you can get more than the full State Pension are if: you have over a certain amount of Additional State Pension you defer (delay) taking your State Pension If you reached State Pension age before 6 April 2016, you’ll get a different amount under the basic State Pension rules. That is around 8,562 thb per month compared to 600 thb in Thailand. There are also other support mechanisms that can be claimed. Yes, Thailand really IS that bad. -
I don't and I live in rural Thailand. My wife has 3 brothers, 2 sisters in law, several nephews and nieces. This Songkran only her youngest brother, his wife and their son came up from Bangkok. Believe it, as it is true and happens all year around. Fortunately out in the rural villages there is usually somebody who will keep an eye on a small group. An elderly Thai pensioner living on their own gets a huge 600 thb government pension per month, some help with the electric bill but little else. They get a rise in their pension every 10 years. Compare that with how much you live on per month.

Nice try at diverting the subject which is of course all about "Special counsel focuses on Trump fundraising off false election claims". Strangely enough, I never saw President Biden's name mentioned. It is nothing to do with ANY enquiry into President Biden's finances. If you want to follow that thread then do so, but do not try to hijack this thread. Do a search here Enquiry ito President Biden's finances Found 27482 results. enough results even for you

Koh Lan Faces Water Shortage as Daily Tourist Arrivals Surge
billd766 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Of course the TAT is encouraging more tourists to go there to use up the already meagre supplies, not to mention the wastage from Songkran. With 10,000 tourists per day that would give each tourist 100 litres of treated water per day leaving none for the Thais. Mass stupidity.
