Oops. Seems they didn't think it through before allowing a medium that could do that. When porn is probably the largest industry on the internet, anyone with a brain cell would know where AI was going to be used. As for stopping it . They can shut down as many sites as they like and prosecute as many people as they can catch ( small fish ), but the cat is out of the bag and there is no stopping it now. If Clooney got replaced by an AI would we even know? If I was a kid at school Media Studies would be the last career I'd be looking at- not even the last job. Media will go AI as soon as it can get out of it's contracts with live actors. In many cases it won't make any difference as media these days ( movies and TV ) is 90 % garbage IMO. It's so bad that I won't even watch tv anymore. I only watch movies on DVD that are about 10 years or more older.

Of course she does. The social justice warrior wants to fundamentally change the US, IMO.

Read it again. The concern that I read was that the operation of the machinery could be compromised. -
Tourist Boat Crew Member's Shocking Act Sparks Outrage in Thailand
thaibeachlovers replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
What's shocking about it? I came on here expecting something a bit more interesting than a boatman pooping over the back of the boat. Where do the luvvies think all the men on fishing boats poop? I've been on more than one tourist boat/ ferry where the toilet empties directly into the sea behind the boat. -
and just where are they going to get the money from to do so? Perhaps you know where the money tree grows, but the rest of us don't.

Electric Vehicles in Thailand

I partially accept your supposition, but the real test will come when you try to sell it to buy a new one. Will you lose the cost of the first as no one wants to buy an EV with the cost of changing the battery. I accept that will change once the makers realise their mistake and make that easier/ cheaper, but it's the first generation EVs that will be first to be put on the second hand market, if it even exists for EVs. https://www.stuff.co.nz/motoring/301032605/no-one-wants-used-evs-making-new-ones-a-tougher-sell-too The shift away from cars with dirty combustion engines is running into a new hurdle: Drivers don't want to buy used electric vehicles, and that's undermining the market for new ones, too. -

No it shouldn't. It isn't even over, as technically it is only "frozen". https://edition.cnn.com/2021/12/30/asia/korean-war-armistice-peace-explained-intl-hnk-ml/index.html Didn’t the Korean War end in 1953? The short answer is no -

Carry on hoping, but not too hard. -
Certainly didn't happen after I started nursing, but I'm aware of the bad old days. Only time I experienced it was as a patient in a Thai hospital when a nurse followed the Dr around like she was his flunkey. A slightly amusing incident happened that I'm aware of from before my time in the UK. A nurse from the Antipodes went to work in a British hospital, and at tea break was asked by the Drs to make them a cup of tea. Being a Kiwi or an Aussie ( I don't remember which ) she told them to go make their own. Now that did not go down well at all, and in revenge the Drs stopped paying for the biscuits that they had been providing for tea break. Happily, by the time I started working in a British surgical theatre complex, even the consultants made their own cup of tea.
-
Perhaps they didn't know about it till it was in the newspaper. Nothing about it makes sense to me as it just could not have happened in any surgery I took part in. I had no problem making a fuss if I thought anything was wrong, and I even had a standardised form of my own devising to report anything wrong to management. Had it been in a theatre I worked in it would not have been an anonymous report to a newspaper. My responsibility as a nurse was to the patient, not to the surgeon.

Of course, just like everything you write without a link. -
Not when it's Biden. He gets excused because he's too befuddled to stand trial. Seems he isn't too befuddled to be POTUS though.

LOL, that time the US didn't elect the criminal, IMO.

No one is denying that the USSR depended on Allied tanks and weaponry, but an awful lot of Soviets died to defeat the Germans. Had the Soviets not born the brunt of the German army, which was mostly, IMO, destroyed in the USSR, the allies may not even have won their part. Had the Germans been at full strength It's probable, IMO, that they would never have got off the beaches. Perhaps the atomic bomb would have got it's first outing over Germany. IMO the Soviet vs Germany war was the first US proxy war in that region. All that's changed now are the main players. -
Soooooo, you are no longer claiming that Ukraine lacks natural resources, just less than Russia, and you admit that Ukraine has corruption. Thank you.

I don't need a link to believe that they would be capable of doing so. I trust them not at all ( the Chinese government, not Chinese per se ). -

Apparently you think exploiting poor people in Congo to dig up the materials to make your EV is "good for the planet". That's not being woke, that is rather horrible.
