  1. Can't get from Bkk to Krabi by sea without going around Singapore- what is your point? The film was a vile, shallow, disgusting misrepresentation of Thailand that would be ripped apart by any that know LOS. The stupid boat scene was just the most obvious lie in the movie.
  2. Plus most of it is less over run by the hordes like in Europe and Britain. I visited Lakeland in 2017 in Spring and it was already crowded. Summer must be abysmal.
  3. Pattaya was the reason I visited Thailand for decades before moving there. Perhaps not Pattaya per se, but for what was there that isn't found anywhere else, except Philippines, and Thailand is apparently better than Philippines.
  4. Can I believe my eyes? The decision is only about Biden and his family? I thought the position of POTUS was about the entire US and the free world, not about one old man's pride. Surely it is about what is best for the western world, including the US, or am I wrong on that? It's like something out of Wonderland.
  5. Can we expect lawyers from Iran, Syria, and North Korea to appear in the court? Will the sun rise in the west, will rain fall upwards, will birds fly backwards? Almost every day now, something boggling happens to make me wonder if I fell through the looking glass without realising it.
  6. IMO the US government is beyond "fixing". The future is not looking good for the US or the "free world", but I've said already on this forum that IMO western civilization is in it's end times. It's been a great ride, but everything ends eventually.
  7. Ooh he's not wearing a tie. He must really be "one of us" then, a genuine "Man of the People".
  8. Cameron is hardly in a position to criticize Starmer, as he did nothing to improve the UK's defense forces that I'm aware of. Had Cameron done a better job Labour would not even be a threat.
  9. Having a staff to assist a POTUS is not the same as having a staff that protects a problematic person from being exposed, but I'm sure you know that. Would he even be allowed to drive by himself? There is a simple answer to all this though. Let a panel of independent psychologists and psychiatrists assess his capability of running the US for another 4 years, and make the result public.
  10. Democrats Turn on Biden's Inner Circle Post-Debate The Democrats are eating their own, So good to see, at long last.
  11. America, IMO, has had a broken political system for many decades, and the present debacle is just a symptom of it. PS IMO Trump was elected because the system is broken, but he did not break it. That happened long before he became POTUS.
  12. I wasn't aware that Trump has been found guilty of trying to overthrow the government. Any facts from a reputable source to back that up? They've had 3 years to convict him on that, but they haven't, have they?
  13. Sigh. If a lower court rules it was not an "official act" it's a crime and they can be prosecuted. Unfortunately it would probably give presidents like Bush the younger immunity for taking America to war against Iraq on a lie, though they seem to have been acting as though that were always the situation.
  14. You seem to be under the impression that Ukraine can actually win. Perhaps you can give us some facts as to how that will happen, rather than insulting other posters that you disagree with.
  15. I don't care as to the reason for stopping the money conveyor belt to Ukraine as long as it stops. IMO it was a war that should never have happened. IMO it's just not worth western treasure that should have been used to better the lives of western taxpayers. No one ever asked them if they preferred bullets for Ukraine over a better life for themselves and their children.
  16. I don't think they can afford to do so. They are broke, are they not?
  17. Do explain? I had no idea that the "far right" ( whatever that is ) was on Russia's side. I thought they just recognised it wasn't a conflict worth wasting any more money on.
  18. On that I agree 100%. When unemployment becomes a career choice, why would a youth today subject themselves to military BS? Even I had enough of it to get out when I didn't have to.
  19. Thanks for that. However, while I can only speak for myself, I suspect more than a few of us reject both sides of the coin and prefer a country that chooses not to get involved in western squabbles. BTW, you seem to equate pointing out the many faults of western countries as preferring the regimes of Russia/ China/ North Korea/ etc which IMO is a nonsense. IMO they are ALL imperfect, but some are less imperfect than others. I count myself fortunate to have lived in the only continent on the planet not blighted by militaristic BS, and where all the countries that inhabit it get along together just fine, whatever their policies elsewhere- Antarctica. People can get along without trying to kill each other, if they want to.
  20. If anyone believes that western media only reports the "truth" and never propaganda I have a few bridges for sale , hardly used.
  21. I must remember to put a sarcasm alert on obviously sarcastic posts in future, for your benefit.
  22. Ooh, that'll scare them for sure! Anyway, israel hasn't managed to defeat Hamas armed with not much more than AK47s and RPGs in 8 months, so tell us more about israeli capabilities against a far better armed adversary?
  23. US voters can do so in November. Do you think he would stand down just because voters complained? Biden isn't, but you know that.
  24. Western countries are the only places any of us choose to live in. Do try and get it right. Some of us ( quite a lot actually ) choose to live in Thailand, and the last time I looked it's not a western country. Not only that, it doesn't support the proxy war in Ukraine.
