Many responses are programmed into humans ( fight or flight for instance ), to enable survival of the species. However, we are able to overcome the program eg soldiers can be trained not to run away.

If I was able to father a kid and my GF started talking about it I'd either start using condoms and checking them for holes or get a vasectomy ( or dump her ). Any man doesn't actually know he wants a kid should be sterilised before he brings another unwanted soul onto the planet, IMO.

Do you believe in God and why
thaibeachlovers replied to ivor bigun's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
You expose the most fundamental problem with believing in an after life. I hope there is and logically I know there is, but what if there isn't? Not having visited the after life I can't KNOW. Certainly I'd prefer an off switch than "hell" as portrayed by the men in funny hats. I have no doubt that in the innermost recesses of even the most committed anti spiritual person's mind there is a niggling doubt that death is the end. Spirituality is so entrenched in human existence that it must be genetic, but it was subverted and exploited by the men in funny hats for their own ends. -
photography how many of you ?

Worth knowing is that we only get to see that photo because the expedition photographer dived in very cold water to retrieve his glass plates before the ship sank. -
I wasn't aware that all of them were dead. I thought Chuck was rockin' still, but apparently not. It must be a h_ell of a band up there. The last of those I loved that I knew died was Tina. She will live on in a thousand cabaret shows, like Elvis. The Malibu show in Pattaya had a great Tina impersonator.

Serious question. When talking about "relationships" do you mean based on a few shags over a week or a month ( I'm assuming you are a normal male and enter a relationship with the intention of getting a leg over ), and then moving on to pastures new, or is a relationship measured in years? If it's just one nighters or a bang in a work store room, I don't see any difference with monging, less the actual monetary handover. Both such would be based on nothing more than casual lust. From your post it seems that you are a serial "dater" and not into serious relationships, but I could be wrong, of course.

And if I had 100 baht for every poster that married a hiso, white skinned, Chinese Thai woman with a university degree and a family that loves them ( the average looking not rich farang ), didn't want the 1 million baht sin sod and even bought them a mansion to live in, I'd be able to afford one of those illusory women myself.

Rare earth elements on their way out of EVs?
thaibeachlovers replied to placeholder's topic in The Green Forum
Good news. Now all we have to do is make evs affordable enough for everyone on the planet to be able to replace their ICE vehicles. Oh dear, how do we then produce enough electricity to power them all? Nuclear? Yup, that'll do the trick. -
Nature works on a feedback system, and if a species exceeds it's welcome on the planet it gets culled. Humanity IMO has definitely exceeded it's welcome on planet Earth and if Gaia gets rid of us it'll be our own fault. Excessive overbreeding, destruction of the environment, mad killing of each other, extermination of other species, pollution and general destruction are human specialities. We know how to live better, but we don't, being ruled by hatred, greed, warmongering and general bad behaviour- why do we deserve to survive? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genesis_flood_narrative The story of the flood occurs in chapters 6–9 of the Book of Genesis, the first book of the Bible. Ten generations after the creation of Adam, God saw that the earth was corrupt and filled with violence, and he decided to destroy what he had created. Well, the earth is corrupt and filled with violence again, and we have been warned what happens if we behave badly. When we're gone we won't be mourned by planet Earth, and the planet will get on just fine without us.

I only put the ones that use personal insults on ignore, and that sort don't usually have anything worth responding to. Sometimes I see one of their posts quoted and if it has something that isn't full of hate speech and insults I'll respond to it. Have I ever been wrong? Yes, all the time, but I'm not wrong to put those that stoop to personal insults and hate speech on ignore. Despite disagreeing with you on many things you don't stoop to using insults so you are not on ignore. I have zero problems with anyone that disagrees with me or corrects me as long as it's done in a rational way, without insults. Just to be clear, I do not ignore anyone that disagrees with me without the insults, just those that can't post within forum rules.
