Yes, but we can choose to not follow the programming as we get older and hopefully wiser. A programmed computer can only do what it is programmed to do, and can't become independent. If I had followed my childhood program I'd have smoked, drunk a lot of booze, watched sport on tv, be divorced with kids that hated me, and never ended up in Thailand.

Out of those I only watched GOT. Tried Yellowstone and too boring, never heard of succession. I did like such as the Good wife, Nikita, Ally McBeal, Black list etc, but preferred older British tv series. British and American humour really is different, and I'm not surprised an American didn't like Monty Python. I guess you wouldn't like The Goons either. BTW, Star Trek was pretty good, because it started out small and grew, unlike the atrocious version with Captain Picard, which was IMO a woke monstrocity trying to use the original's reputation to gain viewers. 2004 version of Battlestar Galactica was far and away better than the Picard garbage.

LOL. I worked with hundreds of educated western women and none of them were jumping into beds with men they didn't know for one night stands. Actual AI will be better than quantum computers IMO, so breaking bank codes will be a breeze. We do not yet have autonomous computers that can learn independently, so IMO we do not have actual AI.

and when you were born my life was better! We may not have had personal computers or social media, but we never needed them anyway. I don't know anything that has become better because there are more people.
