    The four hour bus tour from the city to my wife's village was on a real rattletrap bus, but always a treat in scenery and observing the locals. Things like that made Thailand a wonderful place that those that travel by car will never know.

    It's not about "love" whatever that is. It's about having someone around, a warm body to wake up next to, being looked after ( depending on how much one wants to pay ). Unless one is demented, one knows it's only as long as the money flows in her direction.

    Because money gets a temporary gf unlike back home, when time with a hooker is measured in minutes, not hours.

    That's on him. My last year in LOS I never had a woman at all, and was never lonely. There is so much to do in LOS that one is never going to find if sitting in the room. One has to go out and look. Take up a hobby, work at an orphanage or such like. Plenty to do and meet people at same time.

    There is a difference between a decent woman and one I want to marry. Almost all the women I worked with were decent, but not marriageable mainly because too PC. I might have wanted a partner in life, but better going to my grave without than marrying a PC woman. I had plenty of platonic relationships, but none that I wanted to progress from.

    True. Western women don't need to be bought from the parents ( though they do need plentiful financial inducements such as diamond rings, jewellery, flowers, expensive restaurant meals and paid for holidays ). Instead they wait for an excuse to divorce the fool and take him for everything they can get.

    It's not age per se but performance. Biden is a stumbling mumbling wreck that talks to dead people, while Trump is not and doesn't.

    Of course he lies. That's hardly earth shattering news. The point is whether I care if he lies, and I don't care any more about his lies than I do about Biden's lies. Politicians have made lying an art form, and I believe nothing they say. I'm only interested in what they do.

    What else would the W H say? Doesn't mean that it isn't true. If it's not true then let the investigation proceed and have no fear of the outcome. Nothing to hide, nothing to fear.

    If it's a risk marrying someone that ups the chances of a divorce which are already 50%. If they want him to buy her and she agrees with that, then she's just not worth it.

    What is really sad is that many of them were like me and didn't want anything to do with a western woman, but made the mistake of thinking a Thai woman was different.

    I showed 50,000 and that was 50,000 more than she turned out to be worth. Do any of the suckers that GIVE the money ever ask for it back when the blushing bride turns into something not wanted and divorce is necessary?

    It's BS. Caring about money yes Caring about him, not at all. Most farangs won't even need to pay it as marry divorcees or women with children. If she ain't a virgin, don't pay a satang.

    If there was some way to know that the beloved was indeed going to "take good care" of me for the rest of my life, I would have been prepared to give a sin sod equal to the cost of banging bar girls for the rest of my sexually active life, assuming she never asked me to build her a house, buy her a car etc.
