Biden says anti-trans laws are 'close to sinful'
thaibeachlovers replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I once did some research about trans boys and came across a U Tube from one talking about "her" transition. One of the bits that was interesting was that "she" kept going on dates with guys ( before she got the big chop ) that wanted to have sex with her because "she" had a penis, and "she" was understandably annoyed about it. Also, "she" wasn't that happy having had her male genitals chopped off, as apparently it's not as simple living with the false vagina as "she" had thought it would be. -

If you want to see the effect of female hormones on a male, go see a ladyboy gogo show- the ones that have breasts that are not silicone boosted will give you some idea of what happens visibly. -

I've actually used a unisex toilet and I'd rather not have ( I had no choice then ), but regardless, women like to do other things in bathrooms other than sitting on a toilet, and they probably wouldn't want to do their makeup in front of pervy guys. IMO the third public toilet is the way to go. -

I do get what "transgender" is and it's not really as big a deal as some like to make it out to be in today's western world, though only in certain areas eg while I might get away with wearing a dress in public in a big city, in the rural town I live in it might get my face re arranged. Sooooo, if I had a desire to wear a dress in public I'd go live in a big city. Problem solved. Society is made up of individuals, all with different opinions on everything, so while the "law" may dictate that we have to accept men wearing dresses everywhere, in reality it's never going to be accepted everywhere; at least in my lifetime. Trans people shouldn't be in such a rush, as they got from complete non acceptance in my youth, to acceptance in certain areas. Be patient and in the future trans may become acceptable everywhere. -

Somewhat irrelevant as guns have a specific protection in the constitution, while medically altering children who are too young to make such decisions is not constitutionally protected. -
IMO the UN ceased to be an effective peacekeeping force many years ago, and has been reduced to wringing it's hands and begging warring nations to play nicely. Far as I'm concerned they can keep the bits that actually work ( like the agencies that deal with refugees and heritage etc ) and shut the rest down.

It's completely different painting one's own house, to painting someone else's house. The problem isn't that he is fixing friend's computers, but that if he "annoys" some Thai, perhaps a Thai that has a business fixing computers, he can get reported and it will be used to get him in trouble. In Thailand even volunteering, officially, needs a work permit, but for the most part a farang will not be in trouble, unless he "annoys" the wrong people.

Seems to me that certain posters have been thinking the western propaganda is fact. Can't remember how many times we've been told that the Russians are going to run out of ammunition/ missiles etc, the troops were going to mutiny, the Russian economy is collapsing and other such like wishful thinking. It is possible to look at the situation objectively without being a Putin sympathizer, but for some it's not enough unless posting about orcs and suchlike.

Being positive is always a good thing, but I did explain in a previous post as to why I have been cynical most of my life, and cynicism and being positive are not natural bedfellows. However, I do have some good days among the dross, as in today when some bad people were evicted out of my life. So, even the negative can feel good on occasion. Anyway, sometime in the not too distant future, whatever I am like is going to be of zero relevance as I vanish up the crematorium's chimney. -

If you paid taxes to the government you are just as contaminated as the rest of us. -
An RCD will still save you even if nothing is earthed. In NZ we can buy individual RCDs that plug into the wall and appliances are plugged into them. I assume such are available in Thailand.

I wasn't specifically addressing a Billie Piper fan when I referred to humanity, but if you paid taxes in the UK you also paid for the means to kill people that the military use. None of us are 100 % innocent. -

Unless you are a Thai, you must be a porter working in a western hospital ( I can't see a farang being allowed to be a porter in a Thai hospital ), so I was referring to a retired person living in LOS. -

Hmmmm. The "challenges" we face are nothing compared to those that have gone before. The Black Death killed so many that entire societies were changed, the Mongol hordes threatened the very existence of Europe, Columbus brought nothing good to the indigenous people's of America, etc. Perhaps it's because humanity cares only about now, that humanity thinks a minor plague like covid which killed only a few million is a cosmically big deal. We have had 50,000 years to become civilized and stop killing each other, but it's like we never left the cave. All we do is invent better ways of killing each other and polluting our environment. -

Sounds more like that group that still use horses and carriages because they reject all modern things. Forget their name. -

Plenty of people interested in politics now and we still ended up being ruled by the .......................... IMO the problem is that no sane person wants to be a politician anymore. -

Hmmmm. Only way a man could naturally be pregnant would require transplanting a female reproductive system into the man, and then he'd have to be given the hormones that his body doesn't produce for the duration of the pregnancy. No matter the desires of a certain subsection of mankind, it's not going to happen, unless it's to a male looking hermaphrodite that just happens to have a functioning female reproductive system. -

My interest in spirituality back then extended only to religious type spirituality. Took me 40 more years to understand that spirituality is in everything.
