  1. It's a public forum so anyone can post anything within the rules, and some like to post negative things. Only mods get to say who can post.
  2. I didn't say they'd be killed on the spot, but IMO they can expect to be beaten. An American pilot would likely be worth several Russians in a prisoner swap.
  3. Sorry but I don't see any point to that post, nor did I imply support for anti trans policies. Unfortunately the world is IMO impacted by Biden's policies- I wish it wasn't.
  4. I doubt any Russian soldier will see a difference between an American "volunteer" and a mercenary.
  5. Seriously? 5555555555555 I watched different ones but stopped watching them as they were too biased, like CNN or not worth watching because they think football is news- BBC, and ended up with Al Jazeera. It's probably that they are not dependent on ads that allows them to be neutral.
  6. Mercenaries are, far as I know, not covered by the Geneva convention and are not treated well by the enemy. They better hope they don't get shot down and captured.
  7. I went for a massage specifically to get my spine walked on. That was the only thing about a massage that actually made me feel better. I once had a misaligned neck and went to get my neck "krick krack" and the masseuse refused to do it.
  8. Do the massage? Of course, as I'd have had to pay regardless. It's not as though he gave me a happy ending or anything like that.
  9. Just think of your granny and the problem becomes unaroused.
  10. Dying holds no fears for me- we all die, so there isn't any reason to be fearful. What does scare me is dying slowly in a great deal of pain, but hopefully euthanasia will be available for me if I end up like that.
  11. You seem overly concerned about farangs that don't conform to your druthers. It's their concern if they don't want to associate with farangs, and you don't get to tell anyone what to do. Do whatever you want to do and let others do likewise- you'll feel better for it.
  12. Reminds me of my last year in LOS. I was living in an hotel off Loi Kroh in Chiang Mai. My day consisted of Thai Visa forum, tv news channels ( mainly Fox as it was the most entertaining ), tv movies and cheap DVDs from local market. I did try the local bar beer group, but it was too boring to bother with. The most exciting thing I did was going to the mall to see a movie. All in all, a quiet, uneventful life- bliss.
  13. I never went out of my way to avoid anyone, but I never made the effort to find a farang friend. Had one just happened that would have been different, but it never happened. The one and only time I attempted to join a farang social club ended when I was completely ignored by the members when I visited on a club day.
  14. I also never had a farang friend in LOS and didn't care that I didn't.
  15. I'll reply to this because I already posted a few times about my cancer. How many of you have lived through a terminal illness ,such as Cancer ? How did you cope with this diagnosis and treatment ,and I mean that mentally I had prostate cancer. The day I found out I had to take the day off work, but after that just carried on- life sucks anyway, and it was just another bad thing happened to me. Has your attitude on life changed What about you guys with stage 4 of something eg prostate has your attitude to health changed ? Attitude didn't really change. Made no difference to my life style up till I had the op. Do you take care now much better than before in regards to nutrition and exercise No. If you were going through the cancer treatment did you become more spiritual? No. Do you now cope with dying much better ? Luckily in Australia we now have the legal ability to go with euthanasia We all die, sooner or later. I've been DNR for many years now. Since the op ruined my life, I'm just waiting for the end. Is euthanasia available in Aussie on demand, or only if in agony with end stage disease? I hope there is no one going through stage 4 cancer here but if you are please share your experiences Since the op stopped me dying of cancer, the complications of the op have ruined my life, and if I could go back, I'd have the hormones instead. The treatments available now are far less likely to have same side effects, but not available to me.
  16. 1 million % correct. Why do we need to know that a bus load of people in a far away country died in an accident, or that a plane crashed with loss of life on other side of the world? IMO it's like they want to make everyone depressed and angry. Seems to be working too.
  17. I knew someone that needed their spine manipulated frequently. She discovered a person that was able to do it when nowhere near her. It happened to me too, on a telephone conversation, when I could feel a misaligned vertebrae realign. The skeptical will be skeptical, of course, but believers know there is more to life than what we can see.
  18. I think a lot of our own attitude comes from the people that surround us. If we have good parents we likely become good people and visa versa; if we go to a good school, we likely get educated and visa versa; if we work with good people we likely become good workers and visa versa; and if we are surrounded by bad people we likely either become bad ourselves, or we become intimidated, fearful and negative.
  19. Even then you will only know them as they are now. I'm a completely different person now than I was 50 years ago. No one gets as cynical as I in a few years- I've been working on it all my life.
  20. It's entirely possible to believe that God exists without conforming to a religion. Religions are man made constructs, while God is not.
  21. What on earth are you blathering on about? Only certain areas of Thailand get a lot of pollution, and usually not all year.
  22. I find your post ignorant of the fact that Thai is not an easy language to learn, and almost impossible for those that can't discern tones. It's also completely unnecessary for a farang living in Pattaya, Bkk or Chiang Mai.
  23. You speak the truth, but some, it seems, are magically able to speak Thai conversationally after a couple of months in LOS. I came to Thailand too late to discern tones, so my Thai language skills were somewhat restricted.
  24. I lived in the village for a while and didn't see any. Obviously that may not be true for every village, but their choice involves a lot of expense that would be unlikely able to afford as a rural worker. Of course, those that become elderly may return to their village home.
  25. Unfortunately where the US goes the rest of the ( western ) world follows. We have probably all encountered the non US guys that try to emulate American gang bangers in their dress and choices of music noise, and such like silliness. I have had enough of the woke American policies being inflicted on the non American society I live in. It's even been polluting Thai society for a while.
