  1. I feel sorry for her. IMO that was cruel to not even have a coffee with her. Do you hate her that much?
  2. You did well to avoid marriage. I wish I had, and I'd have been better for it. Like you I had a maniacal boss that made me retire too soon. Other than that, my problems were mostly from those of believing in the BS of true love and marriage. At least I avoided the rugrats, so I was fortunate on that.
  3. Hard compared to what? Compared to someone in Sobibor I had a blessed life, but compared to someone born to a wealthy family that loved them and a trust fund my life was/ is <deleted>. My life was mostly rather boring interspersed with incidents of love/ love betrayed and wondrous adventures in exotic lands. Overall, I'd say it was an interesting life with occasional bad bits.
  4. Alas, IMO that will never happen. Will the masses that live in America or other colonised lands accept that they live on the land of a betrayed people, and will those that drive EVs accept that they drive over the bodies of the exploited in Africa that dug up the minerals that make the car move? I doubt that.
  5. I love AI as it produces visual perfection in the same way as an anime movie shows a perfect world devoid of dirt and bad people. Imagine art tailor made to our druthers, and not what some other person likes, and all at the touch of a button. It's not yet perfect as it occasionally provides people with more digits than 5 a hand, but once the kinks are ironed out it's going to take over, IMO.
  6. I agree 100%, but it's too late, IMO. The rich 1% have the way to even more riches, and they have the private armies to keep us Luddites at bay.
  7. I see you thought the Blade Runner sequel was good/ great- I thought it was a steaming pile of horse manure dreamed up to profit off the popularity of the original. However, to each their own. Like you, I like AI generated pictures, but they do spell the end of human artists, IMO. Why pay someone to do art when a computer can churn out anything we like just by interpreting past artists? Likewise with movies, tv etc. The film actors/ writers etc of America have rightly become concerned about AI, but IMO too late to stop it. Never mind, as once the military maniacs realise their twisted dreams of autonomous killing machines we are probably doomed anyway.
  8. Carry on bickering without me. Bye.
  9. So, you'd rather let her put up a high hedge that would block your view than put up a screen that wouldn't block your view. I look forward to seeing your much better and more successful solution.
  10. You'd have to give me a lot more information to guess. You are not a Thai national but don't need to extend a visa. Not much to go on and I'm not psychic.
  11. I wasn't referring to you specifically as the discussion was about visitors to Thailand.
  12. I flew back from Dubai one time with a very drunk Saudi next to me.
  13. I never worked in emergency. Problems with alcohol probably worse when they had the six o' clock swill, but that ended before my time in hospital.
  14. Screen fence doesn't have to be so high he can't see over it. Just high enough she can't see him.
  15. Probably get more louts now. I used to be surprised at how little trouble there was in Pattaya, but that was before they needed police in Walking Street.
  16. Dog problem easily solved, but not a good idea with the woman. Try putting large speakers on her side of your house and playing music very loudly every time she is shouting on the phone. Put up a screen fence so you can't look into her property. I wouldn't like my neighbours looking into mine, even without daughters.
  17. Their use of V8 motors in cars that were only used in cities must have contributed mightily to pollution. Also they used oil for house heating.
  18. I was waiting for your expected reply with the usual insult. You think technology didn't make better motors and batteries in the past century? Quote Can you explain to me why you failed to include the this following sentence in your quote: End quote. Can you count? How many sentences did I include in my link? Can you read? I assume so, so read the last sentence of the rules, which you appear not to have read or understood. 27. You will not post any copyrighted material except as fair use laws apply (as in the case of news articles). Only post a link, the headline and three sentences from the article.
  19. What are you on about? You think he's going to keep his leg still so they can aim at his leg? Do you have any idea how hard it is to hit a small moving target with a handgun? Cops are trained to shoot into the abdomen as it's the largest target.
  20. LOL. You must have watched a different VDO, or you are attempting a joke.
  21. You keep on as if it were in some nanny state. Thailand isn't a nanny state yet and if some louts want to be bad in LOS they will be in for a shock. I see no point in continuing this discussion with you, so I won't be replying to any further post from you on this thread.
  22. What a load of tosh. IMO all they care about is the money.
  23. Certainly shouldn't rent to any tourist without a m'bike licence from home country.
  24. Given I had no idea of which country the idiot driving like a maniac that almost killed me was from, but he was an Arab, so IMO ban the lot of them from renting m'bikes. They drove really badly in Saudi when I was there too.
