You said I was speaking rubbish, yet you said the same as I did! Did you read it wrong? -
Settlers rampage in West Bank villages after Israelis killed
thaibeachlovers replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Israeli treatment of Palestinians results in some Palestinians taking revenge against Israelis and the Israeli collective punishment after results in more Palestinians joining Hamas or other resistance groups or taking revenge as individuals. IMO, either the Israelis break the cycle of violence, or they WILL come to regret it. It's up to them as they are the ones with all the power. I'm sure they are aware that the Palestinians are growing in numbers, and that they have no where else to go. IMO the present situation is madness, and eventually even the US is going to have to face reality. The Israeli government is not doing themselves any favours by ignoring the agreement they just made in Jordan to not escalate tensions. According to Al Jazeera, the settlers were from illegal settlements and they burnt Palestinian houses while the Israeli army did nothing to stop them. According to a report on Al Jazeera, Netanyahu said that they were not going to stop building illegal settlements on Palestinian land. Meanwhile, the US sticks to the charade of the two state solution, while doing nothing to rein in the Israelis excessive use of force against Palestinians.- 1 reply

Florida woman argues her unborn baby should be released from jail
thaibeachlovers replied to Scott's topic in World News
If it can be proven that them using drugs or drinking alcohol/ smoking damaged the foetus ( obviously after it is born ), IMO they should be charged with reckless danger to another person. If a woman doesn't want to care for her unborn child she shouldn't carry it to term as she probably won't care for it after it is born. -
As we don't have all the facts, we can't really comment as to why the insurance company are reluctant to pay up, but if they did the right thing and got proper insurance, it's an unfortunate situation. I can't see them getting 250,000 quid from strangers so I have no idea as to what can happen now. There is no way he can fly home without an air ambulance and obviously they can't pay to stay. However, there has to be an answer- perhaps the UK government can fly him home on a military flight.

Notable changes in Thailand in the last few years.
thaibeachlovers replied to Social Media's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Perhaps tourist numbers will rebound but the nationalities will change. First time I visited White temple it was a delight, second time it was over run with Chinese tour groups and I didn't even bother waiting to rush through in a massive q. I can't see westerners being keen to stand around in long q's or sharing beaches with thousands of tourists, like Maya Bay was before it was closed because of the destruction caused by too many people. -
I'm calling BS on this. I've never been in any gogo that has girls allocated to an area. It is they that "move around" not the customers. Any time I moved a seat for some reason, the little container that held my check bins went with me, so what is the OP on about with that "duplicate bill" nonsense? If times have changed and it's all different now, perhaps someone other than the OP can say so.

Have you visited every planet in the universe to know that? -
Doomsday warnings for 2023

Perhaps you can quote a poster that claims climate change is imaginary- I've never read posts by any that do. IMO you are making that up. -
Do you believe in God and why
thaibeachlovers replied to ivor bigun's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Rubbish. Even when I was religious it wasn't the one my parents were in. Every child is born knowing nothing, an empty slate that will be written on by everyone that they come to know in life. -

Apparently you read without comprehension. That is your problem and not one I'm going to attempt to resolve. Believe whatever you will, as I'm not trying to convert anyone. Foolish? Seriously? if recognising that everyone has a viewpoint and is entitled to it, whatever I may believe, is foolish, then yes, I'm foolish and I take pride in that. A closed mind learns nothing. -
Do you believe in God and why

None of that has anything to do with spirituality, IMO. The most spiritual people had nothing to do with "money", living lives without greed. The most spiritual people lived without trying to get rich off of it. The people that use spirituality to get rich off others are no more spiritual that the pie I ate for breakfast, IMO. -
Do you believe in God and why

You believe that the universe had no beginning, but it has an end ( when all the stars run out of fuel ), and if it has an end ergo it has to have had a beginning, IMO. Many, including myself, believe in the Big Bang, but what caused it, and where did the material to make the universe come from? Unless one believes that matter can just magically appear, one has to believe that it was created somewhere, and by some force- which is what I believe to be "God". You said " I can't deny there are powers greater than myself in the universe.", so you apparently believe in the same thing, except I call those powers God, and you do not. You, of course, have every right to believe or not believe anything, but given that a scientist that is exploring the origins of the universe says they don't know 95% of what is out there ( on an Al Jazeera news item few days ago ) how can anyone definitely say that there is no God? If you don't believe in a creator God, how do YOU think the universe happened? Was there a big mass of gas ( the universe started as a cloud of gas, or so I understand ) just floating around in empty space? Where did it come from? How were the laws of physics created to make the gas become stars and planets? How did humans evolve to have intelligence ( the dinosaurs were not exactly geniuses )? Was it magic? So many questions are raised if one does not believe in a creator God. -

and you, buckwheat, have no idea of what I'm talking about, not that I particularly care what someone that only just came on here has to say about what I believe, or not. -
Yes I rode a m'bike in LOS. I rode it for thousands of miles in LOS when added up. I was also an experienced m'bike rider in own country. Yes, I understood the risks. However, nothing could have avoided being driven into while I was stationary by a driver not looking where he was going, other than being psychic, which I'm not. When you are in that much pain, who cares about money. The hospital does. Can't pay, don't expect much. Don't like it, don't ride a m'bike in LOS.

Don't be too hard on him, as she was probably the first woman that was nice to him in his life. I was the same the first time I stayed in Bkk. Fell madly in love with the girl I met in a massage place, but after I went back to work I realised she was rather ugly, so I fell out of love pronto. IMO Thai girls have a sort of magic that makes farangs fall in love with them against everything they know about women. BTW, I didn't build her a house or even pay for a sick buffalo, though I did give her too much money for her services- a rather large tip!
