  1. Yes, agreed. However emoji, and in particular the thumbs down seem very often used to indicate a dislike of the individual posting ( based on his previous posts) rather than the actual post being given the emoji. Having to explain that reaction would be embarrassing: imagine " I gave the thumbs down because this poster is a limp wristed woke Marxist lefty who takes the piss out of..."!
  2. Thailand is £17. Singapore is £3. The service, convenience and cleanliness of Singapore Airport is light years ahead of Thailand!
  3. I'm in Chiang Rai. I have never been to Pattaya. Koh Chang is an Island, yes? Given that Cambodia has negligible naval forces, and no air force perhaps you are at absolutely no risk whatsoever. My location doesn't change my opinion on your enthusiasm for battles other people have to fight. Have you ever been in one? I have. If you had you would, I suspect, be far less enamoured of the idea. I doubt that you have the remotest idea of what the modern weaponry, which you imagine will "kick the teeth in" of the Cambodians does. I will give you a clue, one shell from the artillery piece in the OP photograph (I was a gunner) will literally eviscerate a dozen or more people if they are in the open, or the hopelessly inadequate bunkers we see on the news footage. So in conclusion, screw you!
  4. Posted from a safe distance eh? If we are to believe the Thai claims (if) 100 + boys have died in a pointless squabble over a pile of old stones. Both countries claim to be Budhist, but these ruins are not even of a Budhist Temple. You are revelling in it aren't you - sick bastard!
  5. As I said on another thread, and it has been echoed by others from across the political spectrum, I have grave doubts about the safety of a conviction for conspiracy when the co- conspirator died under umh, unusual, perhaps suspicious circumstances, in prison, whilst awaiting trial!

I live next to a school, which caters for Kindergarten up to Secondary 4. The day starts with music played over loudspeakers from about 7.30. It depends on who is on the PA system - if it is the boys it is Thai Rap, the girls jolly songs and K Pop, one of the teachers a mix of soupy ballads and rousing patriotic songs. About 8.25 the school march is played and the children all troop out and form up in front of the flagpole. At 0830 the National Anthem followed by some inspirational talks from teachers. From time to time the teacher in charge of scouting, resplendent in khaki shorts, shirt and a beret which could double as a helicopter landing pad throws a hissy fit about the standards of drill and discipline, which the youngsters quite sensibly ignore! Then at about 0845 they all bimble off to their classrooms and the day begins. Thai children, and their schools are quite noisy - but I am used to it and it doesn't bother me, in fact I quite like it!
  7. Oh good ho! Nationalist vigilantes - just what is needed!
  8. Yes, I mentioned using aircraft didn't I? Aircraft are effective, once you have identified a target.
  9. Probably, although I retired before drones came in. Good old fashioned observation techniques could probably locate a BM21 launcher within a couple of minutes of it being fired - two or better three OPs getting bearings on the flash or smoke from it being fired would produce a target location If they are ready they should be able to get fire on them in a matter of minutes - catch them as they were coming out of action. That of course depends on good well practised artillery techniques! The launchers are pretty well limited to surfaced roads, especially in the rainy season. Again, a good OP plan, effective air surveillance (drone and manned aircraft) and even covert deep recce patrols will go a long way towards making their operations and movement difficult, they take a bit of time to get accurate survey, both for orientation and fix to ensure any accuracy especially if the GPS coverage is turned off or jammed - so use that time to find them. Of course it all depends on if the Thais have the stomach and capability for that.
  10. It is not often I agree with you (!) but I too have problems with a conviction which relies heavily on "conspiracy" when the other party to the conspiracy died under suspicions circumstances whilst in prison on remand.
  11. I suppose it is all down to what his "advisors" recommend - and they have put up an absolutely stellar performance in the last couple of weeks!
  12. I have to wonder what was the point in firing a BM21 rocket into an apparently unrelated area of Thailand. BM21 is an early generation ( Soviet 1960s era) Multiple Rocket Launch System (MRLS). Its purpose was to saturate an area with fire from salvos fired from several launchers at the same time, either with high explosive warheads prior to an infantry or armoured assault, or with a sudden concentration of chemical munitions (typically blood agents) to kill all unprotected personnel in a fairly large area. Its use to fire random single rockets into areas is pretty pointless - it is inherently inaccurate - when a conventional artillery gun would be more effective, accurate and deliver a larger bang. Cambodia is quite well supplied with venerable but still effective and far more accurate Soviet era 122mm and 152mm guns; far more suitable and accurate for going after a specific depth target. The BM21 system only real advantage is its longer range (about 50km). I suspect that the 7/11 (and perhaps the hospital) were the unfortunate recipients of a Cambodian attempt to demonstrate their potential firepower by lobbing some rockets in the general direction of Thailand. It also has a very significant signature when fired, which would make it vulnerable to counter battery fire or air attack.
  13. Well explained, thank you. Might have known it was all the French fault!
  14. Awakening as dawn breaks, after a good night's sleep, I made a pot of tea and idly scanned last night's offerings on this thread. My first conclusion? It is remarkable what happens when people stop taking their "meds" and go on social media! 😀
  15. He has spent the day examining a bucket of rocks in his back garden!😀
  16. Whilst it almost certainly is not going to happen, there is elsewhere on this forum a thread polling and speculating as to what could start another civil war in America. Charging and jailing Obama on trumped up charges to distract from the emerging details of Trump's involvement with Epstein's "nonce fest for the wealthy" would definitely umh, change the dynamics behind that particular thread!
  17. Brilliant move - tell them you are coming back to have another go. There are several nations that may well be prepared to provide an air defence equipment which can engage attacking aircraft, if only to show the US that it cannot roam the world's skies dropping bombs on anyone and anywhere it fancies.
  18. Nonsense. You post something ridiculous, designed to bait, and then try to wriggle out of it. You do it all the time. That is trolling! If you think I was trolling then report me.
  19. Well it was you who suggested it, in the post I quoted. It wasn't a question - it ended in an exclamation mark rather than a question mark.
  20. Many if not the majority of these migrants are young males from societies not exactly known for treating young females well. And you are suggesting sending children to play with them!
  21. That would have been sorted if only they had taken The White House website's advice and made him pope! Saint Donnie - patron of Ehebophiles! Has a certain ring to it don't you think?
  22. No I am sorry, that I can't accept. Everyone knows that he was a mere babe in arms, in Kenya, at the time! The Titanic affair was actually a Democrat plan to rid the world of John Astor (who died in the sinking). Astor was an extremely wealthy New York property developer- some say the bigliest rich man of his time - and acknowledged as a great Republican. A noted inventor he was responsible for several inventions which have changed history, notably golden escalators! He never met Jeffery Epstein! It's all in the files which aren't on Pam Bondi's desk, and anyway the video will be on Truth Social soon. I found all this on the internet!
  23. Well done that man, I looked long and hard at it as well but all I could conclude was that it was either a) double-dutch which is not available on my version of Google Translate or b) an early start on the sauce!
  24. Buying time, paid for by calling in favours/debts from the most bent honest plain speaking Christian speaker of all time!
