Perhaps i could go as high as a mildly funny comment on a slow day. If you cant be bothered reading 3 paragraphs before cherry picking a paragraph out of context to show how clever you are I suggest you should combat your boring existence by having another drink and pick something else like your nose.

"If you cant be bothered reading 3 paragraphs"  I've read shorter novels !

If that is the case, why not ban the consumption of alcohol?? There is nothing stopping me (or a canvasser, for example) form buying alcohol any time before 6pm tomorrow, and then throwing a huge party...????

Ah.... but that would take some forward planning !

    100% agree

It is time Thailand modernised its attitude to roads - default should be all roads open to all vehicles with restrictions on motorways for scooters or motorbikes below 600cc

a far simpler way of doing things

I agree in principal. But 600 cc ??? I ride a Yamaha Aerox 155 cc & no slouch. There's plenty of 250's out there that will outrun most cars. But as someone posted, what's in it for the establishment to introduce change ?

The first gift we bought my father in law was a decent watch from Canada. Wasn't expensive to us but he loved it. Wore it all the time and it went to the funeral pyre with him when he finally passed.

Yep, way to go. I bought a watch for my FIL for birthday. First thing he did was go & visit his mates in the village to show it off. It doesn't have to be expensive.

No , the point is, again, for the last time, I would do what ever i could to stop my son being shot to death, for what ever reason, and you would not. Smacking your kids bum for stealing lollies, im an ozzie, or having him shot  , in my opinion, are two different things.

"again, for the last time,"  I'm sure that there will be many here on TV extremely happy if you are good to your word !

Zinsano is a Chinese tool made under contract for the importer to Thailand of three brands of welders and a line of pressure washers. You might consider buying tools from brands with actual design staff such as Makita, Maktec, Hitachi, Metabo, DeWALT, Milwaukee. Even Pigeon a Chinese brand has tool designers for that actual brand. Zinsano has good marketing and their pressure washers with induction motors are worth serious consideration.

Thanks David. I had doubts about Zinsano being an Italian company. I'll give their router a go, it suits my needs. Thanks again.

  7. Good morning all.

Some advice please. I'm contemplating purchasing a few tools for my workshop. One brand of router interests me. Zinsano. I realise it's a low end brand & not expecting too much for my money. Wondering if anyone has any experience with this brand ? A miter saw might be on the shopping list a little later. Again thinking of Zinsano.

Thanks for any advice, comments.....     Mal.

  8. Hello all. Some advice please.

I'm not sure if such a product exists, but here goes. I have a good quality power drill. No speed selection, just variable speed via trigger. In most applications this is fine. Sometimes I use the drill in a lever operated press. In this application I need 2 hands. One to operate the lever to lower the drill & the other to hold piece being drilled. Yes, I know I should have it clamped but not always practical. When the trigger is fully depressed & held "on" with the button, the speed is at maximum. This is not always ideal for various reasons.

I'm wondering if there is such a product that I can use to control the drill speed ? Maybe something I can plug into the power outlet & then plug the drill into. If we were talking volume it would be an attenuator... I think !

Would appreciate any advice, suggestions. Maybe a product name or description I can look for on Lazada if not available locally.

    Thanks all in advance.....     Mal.

You can check the AIS Fiber (and AIS Play) sites for info on packaging, channels, pricing.

The Platinum HD package (599 baht) or the Sports package (199 baht) might have what you're looking for?

    http://www.ais.co.th/aisplay/en/package.html

Obviously, the first step is to see if you can get AIS Fiber, either to your location or via VDSL.

Yes, they have double, triple and quadruple play packages.

ISPs often negotiate exclusive contracts with buildings. Circumventing these agreements may not be possible. Talk with neighbors, Juristic person to see what's possible.

AIS does run fiber into the basement of some buildings, then uses existing copper for VDSL to the apt, condo, etc. In some cases, your building may already be so equipped.

AIS customer service from personal experience a million times better than True particularly with English. Gave up on True Visons years ago

Yes, that's the feeling I'm starting to get. True comes across to me as very arrogant.

  11.

"What are the reasons for considering a change?" Two in particular. A bit of background. I've had an AIS SIM & phone number for over 10 years. Very happy with the service & coverage. Last year I moved into a new rental property. My landlord thought he was doing me a favour, connected True package in his name for my convenience. I just pay the bill when it arrives. Part of this 3 X package is mobile phone service of 500 baht per month. I don't use & not interested in the True mobile component of the package. So Basically a waste of 500 baht a month.

Secondly, the True TV experience. I thought I had a TV fault. Periodically I get a blackout on the TV for 2 to 5 seconds. This occurs about 12 to 15 times each night. I also have a TV set top box for international viewing. Never a blackout when using the set top box. True can't, won't recognise the problem. The True contract expires in April, so at this stage I'll be changing over to AIS.

Appreciate any advice on what's available on AIS re UFC, snooker, F1, Moto GP.

    Thanks again for your interest.

  12. Good morning all. My True, internet, TV & phone package will expire soon. Haven't been all that impressed with True for a few reasons. I'm considering changing to AIS. Oh, fiber cable connection. I watch the occasional True movie, UFC, snooker, Nat Geo & Discovery. Do AIS provide many, any of these ?

Would appreciate any advice, suggestions re AIS.

    Thanks.  ????
