  1. These 2 part products are best applied in the shade.
  2. Incoherent gobbledegook as ususal! ????
  3. Absolute nonsense reply from some one with very little experience in the pool industry. Profesionals don't recommend what you are claiming for a start. Water & pool water, to more of a degree is aggresive. You ignorance in your statement is obvious! As is you claiming that some statements are missleading when clearly yours are! By the way bathers don't go swimming in their kitchens & bathrooms unless in a flood! ????
  4. I can tell by the water that it is not filtered adequatly! If that was a commercial pool in Australia it would be shut down with a warning to get your act in order! This is how a pool should look!
  5. If you saved 1/2 price to somebody, does it mean that you have built it for 1.2 M (as I read here before) instead of 2.4M? That's really an achievement. I do it for 10% of it, however, it's for myself, I do not get any profit. To give an example I oversaw & consulted on a 200,000 litre pool in Issan that would have come in at 4 + Million with high end dual equipment, Oxy Minerale system & PebbleCrete surface for 2.3 m. Your way of doing it would not have worked!
  6. I see the esky. So where is ya pool and T@rts?
  7. Most of your posts are totally nonsense & not in common English!. Because you are so proud of your 1 job you go about bagging profesionals that have many years of experience. Just wrong. Nothing wrong with doing DIY if common sense is applied. In fact I have consulted on quite a few DIY pools that have saved their owners around 1/2 price. Unfortunately the original picture didn't have any common sense applied to the build. However you keep on going on about your build! Kitchen tiles break easily and are dangerous no matter how proud you are of your underwater garage! Maybe you should speak to one of my customers who's daughter needed 9 stiches from broken kitchen tiles in a pool!. Wake T/f up!
  8. 1/ Kitchen tiles are thinner and don't have enough depth for a decent amount of grout. 2/ Pool tiles are thicker & have a deeper glaze which goes over the side allowing for deep grout and some protection to stop water getting behind the glaze. (Which happens with kitchen tiles) 3/ Pool tiles stand up to aggresive pool water & weather better 4/ Once kitchen tiles break they are very sharp & dangerous. I have renovated dozens of pools & most had kitchen tiles that where broken & dangerous. In fact quite a few where being renovated because people & children had cuts due to the razor like edges! 20 + yrs ago people used kitchen tiles as pool tiles weren't freely available here in Thailand. If you used them these days you are a either cheap Charlie or just plain ignorant!
  9. Totally correct. Also no rubber water stop, no steel, incorrect plumbing & no waterproof render!. It's a shamble!
  10. Ok guys. Here is a Q????????? What is wrong with this photo of a DIY pool. Especially SAANIM being the backyard spert? This is going to be interesting!!
  11. Santa is cancelled in most of the western world, so maybe he will spend more time in Phuket this yr!! Bahahahaha More of the B/S Planed Demic to follow.!
  12. Ridiculous. Maybe you are trying but still ridiculous!! You have absolutly NO idea what you are talking about! The scary thing is, someone may take your advice & end up costing them a lot of money! No point in giving you details about silicate, river sand or other media for filters as you are the expert from another planet!????????
  13. Waste of money considering the filter already has these! Again you are wasting your breath with your massive 1 backyard pool experience! Plus adding these only offers more places to fail & leak! A Thai person would easily get in and remove the connections. However not needed. Best just to change media! We have done it many times! It would be best to use a "wet vac" to suck out the old media and recharge with new!! i recomend "Eco Clear" Recycled plate glass as apposed to sand. Eco last up to 15 yrs. No sense in knocking anything down! Eco Clear.pdf
  14. Maybe consider changing to a small cartridge filter!
  15. Ground water is nearly always an issue with BKK & surrounds. By all means empty it, however to be on the safe side I would quickly clean it and then refill asap! Changing a filter is not a large task. Fresh water will stay OK for a week at least with some chlorine added!
  16. Yep, I know a girl on the Darkside who had her motorbike stolen by him. Glad they got the scum.
  17. A good chance it is plaster. It won't last long.
  18. Specs would be nice! Size of reo, type & thickness of concrete etc! Does that price include equipment & quality? I looked at repairing a 2 yr old 4 x 2 jacuzzi/plunge pool in Pats that was built by a (Reliable builder)? It was a mess. Customer didn't like the fact that it had to be completly rebuilt! You get what you pay for!
  19. Since when does a garage hold 40/50 Tonnes of water?? But I suppose you are fully experience after the 1 DIY pond you built!
  20. One wrong digit! 0626398963 Cheers
  21. Rubbish. What planet are you on???
  22. Sorry for your misfortune! Ground water is nearly always and issue in BKK. Most probably will need piling or a hydrostatic valve at least! Better to have a pool and not use it rather than not having one and want a swim! I have been in the industry over 25 yrs with 17 in Thailand. I can recomend a good pool builder who has done a lot of work for me and some colleagues in the industry! He is Thai and has all the right equipment. (Especially if he recomends piling)! John Putipong 0626397963 Just mention Aussie from Pattaya!
