Not offended mate! Far from it! I just like people to be informed. Too many charlatans in this country! Especially builders whom have dubious experience!! (Previously - butchers, bakers & candlestick makers) 5555 -

Well look at opening a business, hiring staff, buying equipment, etc etc. By the way there are many companies focusing on building pools, plus plenty of builders that try there hand at it! You would be suprised. I have been at it in Thailand for 17 yrs. I actually repair more than I build. A lot have been built by backyard experts. At least 80% have kitchen tiles that are broken and razor sharp dangerous. Hydraulics are a joke. Lots of corners cut with substandard PVC, rebar exposed, wrong size filters or pumps. Sure you can save money by DIY. That is why I offer a consultancy option to oversee the farmers building your pool. It is the old story - do you go to a dentist to get brain surgery? You get what you pay for! 1 person has winged it and he is an expert and all he does is brag about his 1 pool & denigrates profesionals! Sad really! -

Not such a problem these days as the grout comes with "swimming pools" all over the container. The main reason for grout failing quickly is due to poor water balance and if it is a hand dosed chlorine pool, the 90% Tri-Chlor used is very acidic! -

Depending on whether it was overflow or skimmer & the quality of equipment, 1.5 - 1.8 M would be a fair price on the mainland. Except Phuket where they tend to be dearer! -

PayPal is cancelling personal accounts in Thailand from next year
Bagwain replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I opened my account 2010 & I operate from Thailand & linked to a Thai account! I haven't recieved any correspondence from PayPal as yet. I read the info on PP site and it seems that existing accounts are OK, but no new personel accounts will be accepted till relaunch in Feb. Seems it will be a nightmare to open with a company/business tho! -

Fresh Foods on Soi Siam Country Club, individual carrot 21 baht! -
Well stay away from the rubbish at the big hardware stores. You will get away with a 500 filter and a .75 hp pump. Electrical control box with magnetic protection and a timer for the light/s. PM me if you want pricing.

Where are you situated?

Obviously a leak. The residue is either chlorine, calcium or salt. If you don'y have a salt chlorinator then its one of the other 2. If it is chlorine then you are running the ppm way too high. Calcium is a problem in most parts of Thailand. If you are in the general Pats area PM to chat!

You are better of getting a decent aquarium set up for your requirements than the Sh@te from Glob!

Concrete shell defeats the purpose of a fibreglass pool! Not needed. They by all means should have a hydrostacic valve as should a concrete pool with high water table! Stops the shell from popping out of the ground! The main edvantage of a fibreglass shell is the time before a swim. Other wise basically the same costs! Although this is all over the place now with all the freight & price increases which haven't hit home yet!

Yes all our white based PebbleCrete products end up whit different Blue coloours! You should consider PebbleCrete as unlike granite or any tiles it last much longer. Infact 5 yr product warranty. This is why most of the major water parks in the world use a form of PebbleCrete. Cool Blue

Thanks for the PM! -
Yes they do. We did have the equipment here, however not enough large jobs to justify it use so it was sold back to the US. It is rendered on by a specialist teams here. Still very quick. Typical domestic pool is 4/5 day job as apossed to 3/4 weeks for tiling!
