    Probably her outfits...............????

Oh, Rishi to me is just a career glory hunter torn between his businesses, being an MP and his love of, and residence in the USA...

Also, a Cabinet minister who goes against his boss, causes ripples, is really frowned upon, not cricket.

He now has all the answers but in the job he failed, oh dear.....So now BS-ing, in my opinion of course....????

This suggests that you are not so much enamoured with Truss as anti-Rishi?  Is that a fair appraisal?  Go on admit it- it's her legs.  They're not bad for a Tory I'll give you that.

  2. Sorry to post twice in quick succession, but I remembered the answer.  Several posters have alluded to it already, but not sure have said it straight out.  It's rapport.  If you have it, you can control any class; if you don't even the mildest class could be challenging.  It's a rare case where a beating builds rapport.  We just need to get better- well those of us here who are actually teachers. lol.

It's a rhetorical question really... and the answer is "No". However, errant students should be failed for their belligerence or lack of co-operation. At school or university, it is simply a case of "To pass, you have to jump this high"... then, "Can you jump that high?". If not, then you are in remedial class. No need for physical nonsense.

If you fail students for belligerence or lack of co-operation, then you are not giving an authentic assessment of the skills in the subject surely?  Is the point of your class to teach content or 'appropriate behaviour'?

No he did not make the suggestion that they had been planting things .

    He said........................................................

"The FBI and others from the Federal Government would not let anyone, including my lawyers, be anywhere near the areas that were rummaged and otherwise looked at during the raid on Mar-a-Lago,” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform.

“Everyone was asked to leave the premises, they wanted to be left alone, without any witnesses to see what they were doing, taking or, hopefully not, ‘planting.'”

Once again, you are wrong.  It's hard-wired into the language.  I'm not going to get bogged down in your pedantry.  The phrase "hopefully not" expresses his opinion on the list of things he says they may have been doing.  No more from me on this.  You are simply wrong.

Because the FBI had asked for the CCTV to be switched off and for the FBI to be alone with the safe and Donald hoped the reason for them requesting to be alone and the CCTV to be switched off wasn't because they wanted to plant something (with no witnesses or evidence of them doing so)

You are wrong.  He suggested that they may have been planting something, then in the "hopefully not" sub-clause added extra information about his opinion of that eventuality.  The meaning of the main clause stands without the addition of the sub-clause.  As you said to someone earlier- you don't get to change the meaning of our language to suit your political ends.

The age of the fetus is actually crucial. It made what the mother/daughter were doing a crime. That may be the compelling reason for FB to release the data.

They aren't being prosecuted for having an abortion but for having one far past the range that the law allows in Nebraska.  The police were investigating some pretty serious felonies and Facebook was compelled by warrant to comply. FB didn't just volunteer the information. The two were charged with crimes, THEN Facebook was served a warrant to release their records. This wasn't a fishing expedition or malicious act by any means.

If the police are investigating crimes that have already led to arrests, it seems reasonable for FB or other social media companies to assist the investigation, especially if forced to do so by court order.  Nobody would care if this wasn't a situation that had abortion at it's centre.

    Here is a local news report;

    https://journalstar.com/news/state-and-regional/nebraska/norfolk-mother-and-daughter-accused-of-illegal-abortion-burning-and-burying-body/article_ff99fd49-a710-5ec3-8d51-5aced3001c71.html

I don't think we really agree on much politically or socially Hanaguma, but I agree with everything you said there I think.   Perhaps not the final sentence entirely ????

I would be happy with the answer to how many took the 5th regarding cases regarding Hillary Clinton.  (I'm easily pleased).  So looking forward to your answer by return.

What was the outcome of that ?

"The National Archives did not 'find' anything, they were given, upon request, presidential records in an ordinary and routine process to ensure the preservation of my legacy and in accordance with the Presidential Records Act," Trump said in a written statement.

...said Donald Trump.  Laughably poor on two counts.
