Just curious why farangs are getting fined for the TM 30 rule when it's up to the landlord of where they're staying to report. Maybe I'm missing something?

555555......that's funny!

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the red/white striping around town, maybe related to brown envelopes exchanging hands with the businesses involved. Or budgets needing to be used up so they get more in the future.

Sorry if someone already posted this:
It's funny, I have't seen any Thai hotel/condo/house owners brought up on charges of not reporting foreigners, only foreigners not reporting foreigners.........hmmmmm.

I feel your pain, with electrical problems...........and some of the people on this forum. I wish you luck with this as I've been through numerous electricians here without resolving my issues.

He's remorseful and offered to pay 45 million baht to the family....this goes a LONG way in my eyes. So many Thai drivers flee the scene, never admit they did anything, drag the case out as long as they can hoping it all goes away.....some even fleeing the country--you TV followers know who I mean, then go to the temple for a few months. At least this guy was willing to "man up", admit it was his fault and take responsibility for his actions, and do the right thing compensating the family. It doesn't bring back their family members but it sure does help the remaining family's future.

Better yet; was the driver found and FINED for his unsafe load?

Awesome! I love to see the bad people get what's coming to them and good people win! Love the guy trying to tap out; this isn't the cage buddy this is real life and you f**ked up! Luckily the Italian guy is good hearted.

I'm not an electrician but from my experience with Thai house electrics the problem is Thai electricians don't distinguish between L and N, they tend to interchange them. Better to have this checked out, good luck finding a qualified electrician over here; I've had 4 out to my place with a wide array of answers/solutions to various problems. By the way I had the same issue with one of my shower taps, finally disconnected the heater for fear of getting electrocuted.

Just to update this thread; Bumrungrad does not perform this medical anymore. I've done it there for years but they told me in July 2019 they no longer perform this procedure. Samitivej Suhkumvit does as of this date.

Tourist venues better get used to these kind of numbers, can't see it changing any time soon the way the baht is going.

I remember a few years back when the baht was climbing and Thai businessmen started expressing their concerns; the Thai govt said, "Don't worry, we will keep it around 36 to the USD." 55555!

Agree with poster futsukayoi, the medicinal benefits come the CBD not from smoking it. I'm sure there are SOME benefits from smoking but the CBD provides more. I think most people who want the medicinal benefits will be using the oil.

I've owned a Jazz and a Swift, would take the Jazz over the Swift any day. Both are small cheap cars but there's a lot more quality in the Honda.

My niece works for the mall and she says the owner is eventually going to turn it totally into a kids playground; can't see that big of a mall making money on that business model but good luck to him.

Basically you need some sort of pesticide/food source that they'll take back to their nest and kill the queen otherwise they'll keep coming. The rate at which they reproduce and eat is incredible.....in a bad way.
