    and then they watch hours of lakorn where the woman is raped and then falls romantically in love with the rapist. Occasionally the jealous boy/girl in the story gets out a big knife or a gun. Lots of shouting, fighting and (Indian-style) Staring...... The little brown servants get a good kicking whenever appropriate. Thai Culture is not to be ignored........

    as long as it cannot cost you anything that is a good strategy. If you have no urgent business then it can be fun to ask questions and make their call longer. Presumably it costs them something to call you.....
