  1. Could be, but then the text and title are wrong. "Bangkok is the world’s most visited city this year" it states. If it said "......city this past year" it would make matching sense. Looking again at the author (Vietnamese) and source (Thailand) of the text it all now makes perfect sense!
  2. Could it be because foreigners count Thais as often having two faces?
  3. Nope. I guess you missed the other reports last week advertising the event. It's from 2nd-6th August. Free.
  4. Bangkok Post this morning is saying 15 million arrivals so far this year. Here it says 22 million arrivals so far this year. Why such a massive difference?
  5. Next they'll want to be cleaning out the STD's from every crook and cranny.
  6. I have an opposite opinion to you. I think this makes it easier to control. Who controls the dinosaurs? The clue is in front of you.
  7. I heard the plane's call sign is " FX-U-TOSR". Must be easy to remember for him. I must be getting airsick as I want to vomit. It was all prophesised in that infamous picture of him and him and her that is not available in Thailand....
  8. 2 hours ago my wife said that Thaksin won't be returning after all. I asked where she had read that; TikTok. She was quite adament that that is the holy grail of news for the Thai media outlets.
  9. The banks have already begun to balance out their income flows from loans. My wife has a business for the last 5 years. She's a good repayer. Her prior offer from SCB was @3x monthly revenue. 2 weeks ago an offer of @5x monthly revenue is being waved in front of her. She's holding out for those lower interest rates before using bank funds to expand.
  10. How can he have a Teacher's Licence to apply to a different school? Who gave him a reference check for the new school? How can the school let him get away to harm others?
  11. Tickets Price1,500 baht (Guarantee Great Seats) Free entrance for Thai Citizen https://www.muaythaistadium.com/max-pattaya (1500x to 2000x the standard entry price for a foreigner!)
  12. Sadly Thai logic normally dictates that in the event of income going down prices will be raised to compensate for the loss of said income.
  13. I wouldn't know as I wouldn't spend 1 baht because of the racist pricing. Same with the National parks pricing and the 5 different levels of hospital pricing. (Thai online pharmacies have the one price regardless of your nationality or skin colour.)
  14. What is being discussed here is the nationality of the customer not whether he is a resident or not. They are very different things. I have a yellow residence book and a pink Thai ID card with a National Identification number but I am not allowed to pay the same price as a Thai resident because I am "Foreign."
  15. That Thailand is top of googles search engine for most racist pricing in the world. It's not hard to understand. Did the graphic not help?
  16. Google "Racist pricing" and the first hit is from Thailand. #1 Hub!
  17. So just their ages that are being misreported or is there anything else incorrect in the article?
  18. My monies on a lot of ATM's running out of cash come Tuesday next week. Do they restock the machines over public holiday's?
  19. My wife was a licensed ThaiLife Insurance agent. She has various policies that are available to all. She is 45 years old. She pays (Not me!) 3.300 baht per 6 months which covers her for 200,000 baht upon death. 1,690 baht per 6 months for 1,000 baht per night in hospital. She also pays for an extra policy (1,585 per 6 months) to boost the daily hospital stay rate to 3,000 baht per night and this includes 1,000,000 baht for a cancer diagnosis. That's 13,150 baht per year.
  20. Farang can pay in as well. My name has been on the village list for 18+ years of my 22 years in this village. My wife paid 500 baht 'Entry' fee for me to join. The charge per funeral is 20 baht here (Household= 20 baht x 4 pax=80 baht). The fund is currently about 60,000 baht on death. I understand there are no fixed rules and each village can decide (Pooyai Baan) on farang entry to the fund.
  21. Why, at all of the previous cabinet meetings, has this not been raised before? 6 days notice for a country is just so wrong. I don't know where to start with the condemnation I'm feeling for the lost potential.
  22. Thailand's education system has turned a page and this next chapter we're in is very ugly. Such constant sorrow and death everywhere.
