  1. Hi all,

Just re-reading the guide, and noticed the address indicated is that of the old place. Would it be possible for a moderator to edit the original message with the new address pls ?

    Tnx

    Preparation and documents

First, go to Immigration (Room 301 at the Suan Phlu Office in Bangkok*), tell them which category you are applying in (Investment, Work/Business, Humanitarian, Expert) and request the appropriate documents. They'll give you a sheet "Detailed Information Needed for Residence Permit Applications," TM.9 Application for Permanent Residence, a Personal Information sheet, a sheet titled "Documents required when applying for a residence permit in the category of [whatever you requested]," a sample medical certificate and a sample form for submitting Thai-language maps of your home and workplace.

  2. last question poorly organized, as the site won't let you leave it blank = must make a choice even if never tried the W7

-> results to this question will not be exact.

personaly use XP, but willing to give it a try later. Or might move to other OS if I get some time with no better use of.

  3. Yes Abhisit was well aware of the time frame and consequences at the core of this action. He wisely waited until his return from a successful, perhaps triumphant visit to the US to address the UN General Assembly then circulate among the G-20 in Pittsburgh while racking up a photo op with Pres Obama that was splashed throughout all media in Thailand.

Look I rather like Abhisit too despite the little tease in my last post. But seriously do you really think his visit to the US was "triumphant".Some of the puppy love in this forum over Fatty Abhisit (gosh how he's filled out) is more than a little absurd.I'm not one to mock a chaste man crush but really......

I rather like posts that are eye-catching.

However, the statement was qualified rather than one of irrational exhuberance: "a successful, perhaps triumphant visit."

Then you caught my eye and made me blush with the "puppy love" insight.

Maybe "Fatty Abhisit" ate too much American junk food over there--BTW, no fats thank you!

"chaste man crush" is a swirl topping to envy.

The purple prose award is in the post. :)

    Definetely ! :D

  4. Of course on the beach : in the sand, on the rocks, in the water, at night, during braod daylight, remote or surrounded by people...

So far just at night over here...

what about the MILE HIGH CLUB ? in a full and packed -long distance- plane ?

Tried once, until we were interrupted by frantic banging on the door and screaming from outside. We quickly realized it was a hostess, and we had to open the door... She seemed shocked to see we were 2 in the bathroom, and she was pissed off. I understood what was really happening when she pointed out the "CALL ATTENDANT" button which I overlooked in my drunkiness, and was pressing repeatedly ! :D

Things could have gotten nasty (we were gonna land in Bahrain !), untill a more experienced hostess came over and cooled down the whole thing, and send us away with a grin on her face :D

So well, even though we had to stop, I guess I'm a member ! :D

  5. I have deleted a number of offensive racist comments. Agreed, the man acted foolishly and to castigate him for being foolish is one thing but the overtly racist comments made "in jest" will cease now or warnings will be handed out

    Finaly ! Thank you !

I hope by doing so you wish to prove that this website is opened to ANY foreigner in seek of Thailand related news and answers, and not only the white commonwealth community !

As mentionned, there is enough fun to be made of the "robbed by a ladyboy" situation without moving on the the rudest, and most disgracefull comments on the guys origins and supposed habits.

  6. There is no easy alternative to buying western television content and most movies. You can choose any title with perfect sound and picture for 80 Baht a disk. Return it in good condition and receive 50 Baht. That is 30 Baht for a movie or four episodes of a television series.

The True Visions monopoly has made it impossible to get decent content here. True Vision movie channels show "made for TV" movies in the US as theatrical releases here and do the same with straight to video content. True Visions would be out of business and under indictment in a developed country.

I am not proud of skirting copyright laws but until there is competition in the service provider sector I will continue to buy my content from alternative sources. If nothing materializes soon I may have to do what so many are doing now through file sharing on the internet for free.

Grantbkk's got s good point. TV is not offering much decent quality entertainment, and if it would, you would still get those ridiculous blurred areas, and you would still miss entires scenes. Sometimes to the point where you cant understand whole parts of the movie. If you go to the theater, same same.

One might also want to recall that western film/music makers sell their products through the official quite dearly. These companies are the ones who so fiercefuly insist on copyright issues, not so much the artists anymore. And there is also much abuse coming from there.

  7. How did they find about the extra retail space that they weren't paying rent for?

It came to light when Swampy opened and there weren't enough restrooms to go around. The architects checked the drawings and discovered that there are indeed more restrooms on the blueprints than existed on opening date in the airport.

Further investigation revealed that King Power had built over the front of the entrances to many restrooms to get more retail space. Making money on the backs of poor bladder-bursting passengers who've just deplaned.

    Busted!

    That's 'beautiful' :)
