  1. I totally agree with the male to female transitioners not being allowed to compete with biological women part. I don’t agree with your opinion on gender identity. You obviously either can’t or don’t want to get it, but it’s a real thing.
  2. How about you spill the beans instead of enjoying the view from your high horse?! I really can’t wait to hear this!
  3. Yeah, that’s what I thought. Anything else wouldn’t have made sense…
  4. Nice try. Obviously you don’t have any real answers. You just spill your BS and when people call you out on it, you come up with some silly deflection. Didn’t expect anything else to be honest, though!
  5. Just because you refuse to accept it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist, and yes the 72 gender thing is bull<deleted>, but gender identity is not.
  6. So males have to wear t-shirts at the beach now?! That’s would be ridiculous!
  7. Well, I haven’t done a deep dive as to why they came to the conclusion that they might be biological women. They want to do things that will cause danger or harm to others?! Please elaborate on that. Can’t wait to hear this!
  8. Oh, I just love it when people who know nothing about a subject matter think they’re the authority on said subject matter. You’re confusing biological sex with gender identity. Yes, biologically speaking there are only two genders, and while you can get a sex change, biologically speaking you’re still the sex you were born with. No one is disputing that. But this is about gender identity and they absolutely identify as the opposite sex they were born with and that’s a fact. And that’s exactly what you don’t get/don’t want to get!
  9. Well, you’re confusing biological sex with gender identity and that’s the problem. And you’re right, it’s not debatable, transgender people exist, and whether you can get your head around that doesn’t change the fact!
  10. Well, you are just not capable of getting it then and that’s on you! It doesn’t change the fact, though, that some people are transgender. Although, I agree when it comes to sex, there’s only two genders, but this is about gender identity and not biological sex.
  11. Well, transgender people are born that way. Depending on how you define biological, they might qualify as such. Obviously, if it comes down to reproduction, there’s only two genders, but transgender people are real. They do exist and I honestly don’t understand why there’s such a fuss about it. Take Thailand, for example, no one gives a flying f.ck and that’s the way it should be everywhere.
  12. Of course there’s a limit to how long you can be a tourist. At least there used to be. It’s 6 months per year, a.k.a. a triple entry tourist visa. I think there’s also a 3x3 month family visa thing. Not a 100% on that one, though. Also, just because there’s corruption in Thailand doesn’t mean that all of them are corrupt and the law is the law and a lot of people have been abusing it. So every now and then you have to deal with stuff like the OP.
  13. It does make sense, if you operate under the assumption that he thought he’s gonna get ripped off.
  14. They do want you, but they do also want tourists to stick to the visa rules and let’s face it, there’s way too many people who abuse it to stay illegally or not in accordance with the law in Thailand, hence the suspicion! But somehow that always gets overlooked by people who complain about being treated like ““criminals!“
  15. Why are people so stupid? If anyone I don’t know asked to see my money my response would be eff off!
  16. Underwater photography and videography is an extra course you can take. Some diving schools offer a combination of let's say a photography and a buoyancy course. The truth of the matter is that buoyancy and managing your body in a way that you can get close to something without bumping into it isn't exactly easy as it is, especially because you also almost always have a current. Carrying a camera effects your buoyancy because it effects your center of gravity. I never took a camera course, but I definitely accidentally bumped into stuff when I did my open water course. There's no way I could've also filmed at the same time! I was busy enough just trying to not bump into the coral wall. That's why you should have mastered your buoyancy and body control first before you start doing underwater photography. Also, given how long it takes for corals to grow back, especially in the age of massive coral bleaching, I'm all for protecting them.
  17. Nah, mate! It’s clearly you who doesn’t get it/doesn’t want to get it!
  18. There was absolutely no need to kill the snake. Everyone and their dog knows what a king cobra looks like. Also, kings cobras usually make a major fuss when you get near them, which tells me that she might have been trying to kill the snake for food and in the process got bit.
  19. Again, it does not have a bad connotation when they use that word and any negativity that you perceive is just in your head. I don’t know how to express that any clearer! You have two options, you can either accept it the way it is or you can get all riled up and bent out of shape over it and let it make your life miserable. Your choice!
  20. Ok, keep whining and b*tching about a non existent issue that’s all in your head then…
  21. Exactly! Nestlé is one of the worst companies on the planet.
  22. Yeah, so? Again, it does not have a negative connotation. It's all just in your head. I've been asking numerous Thais of all ages about that word and all of them, independently from each other, have said the same, even that 60 year old, extremely polite female teacher....
  23. Ok, let me spell it out like to a three year old then: the word farang DOES NOT have a negative connotation, while the N-word noat definitely does. Comparing the two is just silly!
  24. No, he is not right! The first caucasians Thais came in contact with were the French. The Thai word for France is prathet farangse, which is were the word farang comes from and it literally just means white person. If that’s offending to you then you’re the problem. It’s that simple. Also, you can’t really complain about being called farang for full ten years when you could have just told them to use your name instead. Have you done that?
  25. All you have to do is cover the end where they cut them off the tree. You can use a plastic bag and a rubber band for that.
