Economy Trump Dishes Out 36% Tariffs in Shock Move Against Thailand
pacovl46 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I use all cap sometimes for single words to make a point, never had an issue. Cap only posts are annoying, though. So, I agree with that rule full heartedly. Maybe the rules have changed. Having said that, if different fonts are available then they also should usable. -
Economy Trump Dishes Out 36% Tariffs in Shock Move Against Thailand

I guess the rule is all caputals aren't allowed...might be wrong, though. -
Aliexpress sells them for fairly cheap. They sells sets, starting at around 10 dollars, depending on how many grits arw in the set. It's worth trying. If the stones suck, you can just return them. I've bought lots of stuff from AliExpress before and rarely had problems, and they all turned out in my favor. I haven't ordered any sharpening stones yet, but if there's a problem with them, you'll definitely get your money back because it's a Chinese online store and they're ALL about their reputation. So, the few times someone tried to play a number on me AliExpress always sided with me and got my money back ASAP.

Economy Thailand Plans to Turn Monitor Lizards into Economic Opportunity

Their bites are not only bad because of the bacteria in the saliva. They also have primitive venom glands, but the worst part is their teeth. They're long, pointy and razor-sharp. If you get bit by one on the hand, you'll most likely need reconstructive surgery to reattach nerves and tendons. They're fascinating animals, though. -
Tinnitus is a ringing tone, not a crackling one. I've had tinnitus for 30 years now. I used to have that crackling sound as well many years ago for a while. It resolved on its own. I had a suspicion it might have been earwax, but I've never gotten it checked out. My first guess would be earwax, but since you've got that taken care of, maybe it's something behind the eardrum that sticks to the inside? Have you had a sinus infection or a running nose recently? Maybe it's got something to do with your lower jaw. If the joint has an issue that doesn't cause problems, it might result in a crackling sound. Although, the crackling sound I had sounded more like the smacking sound when someone eats noisily.

Report Sunburn Nightmare: British Teen’s Thailand Trip Derailed by Sun
pacovl46 replied to snoop1130's topic in Koh Samui News
Happened to one of my sisters as well when she came to visit me in Thailand. I warned her multiple times about baking in the sun, especially since she came in February, which is winter time in Germany. She wouldn't listen and paid the price big time because on the secone evening the skin on her belly started to peel in sheets. My response was, I hate to tell you, but I told you so and I don't want to her any moaning about it either! Some people just have to learn the hard way! -

I don’t know, but I would assume not, and rightfully so. What I meant by why can’t it be like in Thailand, is acceptance. In Thailand you can be whatever you want and no one bats an eyelid. Only in the west they get all bent out of shape over transsexuals and sexual orientation! -

It’s pretty obvious! There are transgender people in this world who identify as the opposite sex of their biological sex. That’s a fact! And if you don’t want to believe that or think it’s abnormal or whatever then you’re the problem. Live and let die, mate! -
Condos can be owned outright. As far as I know, if you lease land and you build on it and they won’t renew the lease they will have to reimburse you for the house you built on it. If you have 40 million Baht to invest for three years, you can invest it either into a government fond, real estate or other activities approved by the BOI. This will give you the right to buy one rai of land, on which you can build a house or buy one rai that already has a building on it. There’s conditions attached to it, though. You can’t turn the property into a business, like a rental or accommodation business and you have to live in it yourself. If you have the cash, then this will be by far your best option.

Report Tragic Cobra Bites in Isaan: Viral Video Attempt Turns Fatal
pacovl46 replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
The article doesn’t state that the bag was closed. Cobras like dark, tight spaces, it would technically be possible for the snake to have gone into the bag by itself. What I don’t understand is why he didn’t go to a hospital after he got bit. So suicide would be one option or maybe he was allergic to the venom and went into anaphylactic shock before he could get to the hospital. -

Nope. This isn’t an insanity thing. I’m all for trans rights. Their lives are already difficult enough as it is without the discrimination thing. I’ll never understand why it can’t be like in Thailand everywhere in the world?! And it’s not doing any harm to women or children either, but male to female transitioners obviously can’t compete against biological women because of their unfair advantage. -

Because it is the UV light and snow reflects sunlight much more so than soil does! You can even get sunburned while sitting in the shade, if the surrounding buildings reflect the sunlight. Happened to me on a north facing hotel balcony in Pattaya once. -

The real question is why this required an executive order to begin with?! It’s pathetic! It should’ve been obvious from the get-go!- 75 replies
