Holes in Passport be aware
I've been on the Gov website but it looks like they dont consider staple holes on a page as damaged. Quote HM Passport Office will consider your passport damaged if: you cannot read any of your details any of the pages are ripped, cut or missing there are holes, cuts or rips in the cover the cover is coming away there are stains on the pages (for example, ink or water damage) Now I'm in two minds about changing mine.

SCB, no more exemption from facial recognition in app
After receiving the message I went to my nearest branch who, surprise surprise, weren't interested. They told me to come back when I need to do a transfer over 50k. SCB also no longer have Internet banking, so maybe it's time to move on.

Microsoft Office has gone up up 25%! What alternatives are there?
I'm planning to move to google docs when my 365 subscription expires. I will however lose the 1tb cloud storage that came with it. It seems I still have the 200THB subscription I bought from Lazada years ago. It works but doesn't have the storage.

WISE....Beware !
I've used Wise for many years and there have been a handful of times when it's been delayed, as far as I remember it's been at a weekend. Last weekend my wife had to wait 2 days for her transfer to reach SCB. I did a transfer to Kbank on the Monday morning and it arrived within seconds. She was still waiting for her transfer to arrive. Maybe it depends who the receiving bank is.

Leaving a motorbike (scooter) parked without riding it for how long before problems arise?
I've just returned to Thailand after 5 months. I reconnected the battery and my PCX started first time. The tyres were virtually flat but other than that the bike has been fine. I had left the tank full, by the way.

Thai Bank asking reason for remittance
I transferred £200 with Wise last week, but this time there was no box asking for the reason for the transfer. The transfer usually takes a couple of seconds but this time it took nearly an hour. I'm wondering if there's a connection.

How to deal with flight booking requirements for Schengen visa?
I did it 5 years ago by making a booking (on BA I think) LON - PAR it was a 24 hour option which cost £5. I printed the confirmation out and attached it to the BKK-LHR ticket printout. I let the option expire. We actually used the Eurostar in the end.

Uk settlement visa biometrics
When we did it 2 years ago it took 6 months. The delay was blamed on the Ukraine crisis. So hopefully it will be shorter now.

UK statement to the house - net migration measures - did I hear right? Family visa financials doubled, NHS charge up 66%?
I resent having to pay the NHS fee. My wife is working full time in the UK and paying National Insurance. To me it seems that we're are paying twice for using the legal route.

Thai will for foreigner
I have read on some Thai lawyer's websites that Holographic wills are legal in Thailand. But naturally they don't recommend them. In this case lawyer's stationary is not required and the will must be completely written by hand.
