Unfortunately that "one thing in particular" is seen as a blight on the face of Thailand by some puritans and government officials, seems now they are hell bent on killing it completely!

Usually happens twice, around now and around end of November. Nothing new!

Restaurants are open - not serving booze, officially ???? all bars remain shut, offically ???? there are no nightlife establishments open. Officially shops can still only sell alchohol between 11am and 2pm, many shops in Ban Chang received warnings this week. The only place officially open in Rayong province is Ko Samet.

Definately not farang - that would have been a screaming big headline with names and nationalities, you can rest assured as none of that was mentioned it will be local - that is the way of the media here!

Nice well kept village, small but nice pool area and gym. Fiine wide access roads and good security. Very handy shop in front, look for the red, white and blue "Ban Chang Expat Mart" !! Welcome to Ban Chang!

You need to scroll down a bit on the App, dont try and put the numbers in the boxes that appear, scroll down a bit and create an account first, then they will send you an SMS with a code then it can be completed.

If the car is on legitimate red plates then you should also have received a brown book that corresponds to those plates, you are supposed to fill that in if you are leaving/entering different provinces. When you get your real plates then you hand the book and the red plates back.

LOL, follow Zoom Rayong on Facebook, there is about half a dozen a day in Rayong, all same, tarted up pick ups, wet roads, clueless drivers, i think the score this month so far is about Poles 27 - Pick ups 2 !!
