Getting UK HMRC to recognise my UK State Pension as not receiving the yearly increases.
I've just received an email saying my tax code has been changed. I logged on via Gateway with no problem and HMRC have set my code back to what it should be as I do not get the increase. But there has been no reply to my official complaint, which I thought they had to reply to within a certain time. So that's it for another year.

Anyone make their own sausages?
I've made my own sausages here for the past 5 years. The beauty of making them yourself is that you know exactly what's in them, down to the nearest gram. And you can make them to your own taste. Like sage? Add a bit more. Ditto pepper, ginger, mace, nutmeg etc. I highly recommend you look at the Scott Rea Project on Youtube. He has a sausage making for beginners guide. I would invest in a mincer and a sausage stuffer shaped like the old-fashioned grease gun. You won't need a bigger one for the small amount you'll be making. Minced pork from the shops usually has too much fat. Sausage casings (skins) can be bought from MAKRO and last ages. MAKRO also sells pork back-fat separately so you can mince lean meat and add the right proportion of fat. (20% to 25% is best) And if the bangers are for your own consumption you won't need Prague #1 powder as that frightens some people. Give it a go.

Getting UK HMRC to recognise my UK State Pension as not receiving the yearly increases.
Today I received my yearly email from HMRC saying my tax code had changed. Of course I don't get the pension increase as I live here. Last year I wrote to the pensions people, as suggested by the HMRC officer, and they took 10 months (!) to reply and said they do not send my rate to HMRC. Two government depts blaming each other. So again I have raised a complaint with HMRC. I'll report back, but I suspect they will reply, reset my code back to what it should be and then blame the pensions people. I also suspect I will go through this every year until I croak. Would it be worth writing to my MP do you think?

Recommendations: ink-jet multi purpose printer in Chiang Mai
Do you really need the colours or would a cheap b/w laser printer be better? If you print nothing for six months it will still print straight away without needing to clean anything. And if it 'fades out' replace the toner cartridge. And they are refillable too.

Any successful 90 day reports, January 2026?
I've tried it twice at the new Khon Kaen office and both were rejected so I had to go in person. Both times I asked why the ejection and both times they couldn't tell me and said the system hadn't settled down yet.

Kasikorn bank book code for income from abroad
I update my bank book every month after transferring my >65,000 baht every month. In my bank book this income was marked in the right-hand column as TFN05030. The column is headed "TELLER NO". I assume this might mean Transfer ForeigN? But as from the end of last year the codes have been GPS00031, GPS00036 and GPS00002 for my Nov, Dec and Jan receipts. Has anybody else noted this and more importantly has anybody told immigration of the new code. The TFN code is listed on the back page of my bank book, the GPS code isn't listed at all.

I finally know why bacon doesn't taste like bacon anymore
Himalayan pink salt is NOT #1 cure, or Prague powder #1. Two entirely different things. I can see no need at all for using Himalayan pink salt when making bacon. I've been making bacon and sausages for my own use for 6 years now.
