He asked the media to question the previous governments about why they had to leave all the problems for his government to tackle.
I thought that former politicians can not do any statements under the martial law?

The ruling junta has vowed to pump billions of dollars into the economy, mainly through long-planned infrastructure schemes.
Wasn't this all bad a few month's ago? When the previous government tried to do this?

Thailand will very quickly upset other Asean nations getting too close to China, Philippines , Brunei , Malaysia and Vietnam are still in dispute with China over China's ridiculous claim for territorial waters in the South China Sea. One of the reasons the US is switching its attention and forces to the Pacific
You are right. It seems like Thailand forgets their ASEAN friends, they are running straight into China's arms.
Will be interesting to see what the reaction is of the ASEAN counterparts.

The bar bars in for example Shangri La and Meridien, are excellent places to do after work drinks, they have happy hours as well, it's a pity nobody goes there, so I think we have to say there are no after work drink office style places, they do not exist in Chiang Mai, unlike Bangkok and Pattaya, where you see a lot of bars with an office crowd in the late afternoon.

This is the first time I've seen the Australian govt advising NOT TO TRAVEL to Thailand at this time.
Something has raised the security alert.
Read better, only a few provinces in the South, and thats probably going on for years already.

This article is from last week, not exactly breaking! Anyway I digress
linking with Thailand gives them another opportunity for access to the seaIs anyone else bemused by this line? China has 9000 miles of coastline, why the hell does it need access to the sea!?
It saves about a week to reach Europe!

"...I made a big fuss... Everyone made out like I was freaking out about nothing but it pissed me off, am I just being insecure? or would this upset others?..."
Over reaction. Thais would not do that.
So because Thais don't make a big fuss het shouldn't do it?There is a lot of creditcard fraud and especially in Thailand, think it's reasonable to complain when you suspect something.- 1

I think at some point the junta will realize that they need the farmers on their side to stay in power, and will start doing populist handouts, like the previous government, mark my words!

Horrible news of course, but with more then 25.000 people killed in Thai traffic every year, I start to wonder why this is news, I think you can fill a daily news paper with all traffic accidents in Thailand..Nothing will change. Sad days for all the people involved.
