  1. It says "You must be within 4 months of your State Pension age to claim." which could be read both ways but actually means in the 4 months before.
  2. Not when I read it it doesn't; Your State Pension can be paid into: a bank in the country you’re living in a bank or building society in the UK
  3. They don't really want proof of residency, rather proof of the legal right of residence, and if you look at the embassy requirement it is not supposed to apply to non-nationals. However, it is normally suggested to upload your passport photo page (again) for this purpose. For the embassy; Confirmation of legal residence in the UK or Ireland (if applicants are not nationals of these countries) e.g. long stay visa, residence permit, BRP card
  4. As far as I can see the first thing needed is your invitation code which they will send to your UK address, hopefully the OP has one and DWP have it on record. As you need to be within 3 months of pension age he has plenty of time to get that sorted. Failing that it is perfectly possible to apply without pretending to be in the UK. https://www.gov.uk/state-pension-if-you-retire-abroad Applying outside the UK gives you the advantage of not receiving increases and being able to join in with all the others bleating and whining about being hard done by, etc.
  5. As an absolute minimum you would certainly need to have something that connects your new passport to the one on the account records, better still have the old passport is available. But as stated, old accounts eventually expire of their own volition without you needing to do anything, seems that doing nothing is by far the easiest option.
  6. "Thai Visas, Residency and Work Permits" is where it is now .......see under your name. As I recall from your earlier thread they intend to travel overland out of Thailand within the 60 days of their initial Tourist visa entry. I think I would include the travel booking in the visa application but add a note that they will be leaving and returning later by land for the return flight. Failing that if they do buy a rental ticket or throwaway then of course include that.
  7. It was increased to and still is THB700 and has been included in your ticket for 15 years or so.
  8. Yes. You are missing the 2 x 30 day extensions of the 2 x 30 day land entries.
  9. Those are the ones I would stay in, especially if you are bringing a tribe of kids with you.
  10. 555. What we need is a thread about who did or did not ever need an onward ticket, that would be fascinating (again).
  11. How about your ticket conditions? Is it not changeable/refundable? With some relatively small charge?
  12. Where's that then, I can't find anything relevant other than gov.uk.
  13. But for a UK passport you don't pay VFS in Thailand, you pay HMPO in the UK. That was the whole point of the thread.
  14. Try catching a bus in London. I was there with my wife and we couldn't buy tickets with cash or even with a non-contactless card. Not only that but needed one card each, not 2 tickets on 1 card.
  15. Get another Xiaomi phone and use their own transfer app, Mi Mover.
  16. You don't keep it, it's not a deposit, you pay for the visa with it. It's gone.
  17. Very wise, yours is the 2nd thread today referring to that link;
  18. Search "airline ticket rentals" and you'll find several options for cheap reservation "rentals" for this purpose. Alternatively they can book full fare flight tickets which can be cancelled and 100% refunded.
  19. It will have no effect whatsoever on your ability to do a 90 day report, etc. You do not send your old passport with your application, just a copy of it, and you retain the old one for ID and immigration purposes until you get the new one. The old one should not be used for travel though during the waiting period.
