The procedure is nothing to be scared about, I had one last weekend and even without sedative, just a throat spray, it's perfectly bearable, with sedative it's hardly noticeable at all as my first was but this time I had to drive home afterwards.

More developments in death of famous Thai actress “Watermelon”
Upnotover replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Why only the pig's leg? Was "watermelon" a very small famous actress? I'd like some sketches of this experiment for clarity, bouncing leg stuck on the bottom of the boat? -

When I open drive the first thing I see is a search box. It works every time to find documents/files by name or content. -
Flight LON-AUH-HKT...can anyone help?
Upnotover replied to BillStrangeOgre's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
HKT is Phuket, not Hong Kong. -
Interesting you ask here rather than the wife ask her relative. Are you anticipating a call for help? 20k for sure sounds a lot.

Current website estimate is up to 11 weeks which sounds about right, was the same in January I think. But at least it's worth the wait as it won't be that nasty red colour any more.

New passport and retirement extension
Upnotover replied to Brian K's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
2. If you renewed via VFS they should have given you the Embassy letter/template with your new passport. If they did not then you can request one from the Embassy and they will post it to you. Transferring your Thai visa after renewing your British passport This service is available in person at VFS Bangkok or online and is free of charge. The Immigration Bureau in Thailand may require a letter from the British Embassy in order for you to transfer your visa from your old to your new British passport. VFS Bangkok will give you a template letter when you collect your new passport from their office. Alternatively the British Embassy Bangkok can post a template letter to you at an address in Thailand. To request this service send a message via our online contact form, giving the reason for your request along with your name and address. Add your personal details by hand and submit the completed letter to the Immigration Bureau along with your passport(s). -
British Airways resuming flights UK to Thailand?
Upnotover replied to darbyman's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
BA are showing/selling direct flights commencing 30 October. Personally I would rather walk. They are selling flights before that but they are via HKG or DOH in partnership with Cathay and Qatar. Things might change of course. -
Emirates travel insurance for Thailand Pass?
Upnotover replied to tavernier's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
You email the insurer (details are on the EK website) and they will send you personalised details of your cover. If it's good enough for TP is another question. -

Unfortunately for her/you, a UK visa expiry (until) date is a "leave by" date, not "enter before" date.
-
But this isn't "news". Enjoy your holiday.

It's valid (i.e., enter before) 3 months from date of issue. -
You can renew whenever you like, there is no maximum time before expiry.
