My most recent departure (Emirates business) took less than 30 minutes from arriving at check in to sitting in the lounge. You will also be able to use the same new fast track/priority security/immigration area at the far right end of the terminal. Guess it depends which one is most likely to finish first? With an extension based on working it ends quickly when the job finishes, one would hope that the marriage would be a more permanent thing.
