  1. Guess you mean extension not visa. As many as you like, provided you buy a multiple re-entry permit.
  2. Correct. She would only need to meet the financial requirement on the day she converts to the initial 90 day non-O, i.e. THB 800K in a Thai account in her name, that does not need to be seasoned. Seasoning is only required later when applying for the annual extension of stay. I don't know how/if it works if trying to go the monthly income route, hopefully others will update on that.
  3. You convert to a non-O, not a non-OA. That is why no insurance is required.
  4. That's data roaming. That is not needed to receive SMS's. They cost nothing to receive.
  5. Hotels., done similar many times. No issues with anybody.
  6. You need to buy an "Extrapack" for roaming data on the app. Go to ExtraPack, choose "roaming", select "England" then choose the data pack you want.
  7. "On Transfer Purpose: Select “Funds for long term stay in Thailand” or “Purchase of Property” https://wise.com/help/articles/2932335/guide-to-thb-transfers
  8. As luck would have it this prestigious event coincides with my first ever tourism visit to the fine city of Patong, or for that matter Phuket. I am hoping this is not going to ruin my holiday.
  9. Of course not, he would never pay.
  10. How much of the first paragraph of this story did you actually read?
  11. If you do find a branch it is highly unlikely that you will get (or want) a "checking" account. A savings account is what is required.
  12. Will you be over 50? Switch to a retirement extension.
  13. Presumably download the requested statements and send them on. All my banks (and indeed Wise themselves) provide online statements, just because they don't send paper ones doesn't mean they don't exist.
  14. Good point. All my sockets in the UK have switches but I cannot ever recall switching any of them off when plugging in or out.
  15. ....but they are the good guys!
  16. A quick Google would suggest that only legacies over THB 100 million may be liable to inheritance tax of 5 or 10%. Most people wont be overly concerned by this I suspect.
  17. 3-0 as of today, thrashed 'em.
  18. You can see the fees by going to the website. It will be something like this;
  19. When my D-Max had an engine change as a result of a recall Isuzu gave me some paperwork in Japanese & Thai which I put away and forgot about. The car was on finance and when that was complete the bank became aware that the engine had been changed and came after the paperwork in order to get DLT to update the book. All done without any drama but for sure I'd make sure I had that manufacturers paperwork if changing an engine again.
  20. That's a non-OA. You don't want that. You want a non-O.
  21. He can get the letter from VFS or the Embassy will post one, see here; Transferring your Thai visa after renewing your British passport This service is available in person at VFS Bangkok or online and is free of charge. 22. If you do decide to buy a ticket make it for within 30 days, just in case the airline is not up to speed with the current 45 day entry period.
  23. There are none., only need to declare over USD20k. More likely limits on departure wherever you are coming from.
