  1. Except that isn't where it happened. it was right in the middle of Sukhumvit by the photo's.
  2. Quite so. Or perhaps a hatchback. Certainly not a saloon (sedan).
  3. It is easy but not sure what you used as every method I know, including my UK bank account, comes back with Wise Payments Ltd, which is just as well as its the sort code I send to.
  4. They have both farcebook and Twitter account links on their homepage.
  5. A very small amount of searching suggests it only works at an international airport. Also bear in mind the purchases have to be made at participating stores. I'd put money on NO being the answer.
  6. I used to fly Thai whenever possible as it suited the destinations I went to and I lived in the hope that the accrued mileage would be useful at some point. After some years though I became so mind-numbed by the food choices...."chicken or fish"....that I started taking homemade sandwiches on long flights which improved the experience no end. The one aspect of the meal service I did like was the cognac man who passed through the cabin (and I'm talking economy here) with a bottle and glasses after the coffee service. I noticed though over the years that his speed was increasing each flight to such an extent that he was virtually running along the aisle calling out "cognac!" and almost needed tripping up in order to get one. He's probably long gone now with all the cutbacks and I doubt I'll ever fly them again. For a one off though ought to be just bearable, chicken one way, fish on the way back.
  7. ....next stop, Specsavers.
  8. Looks like a place your 18YO self might stay, not so sure about a grown up. At least you can co-work with the "urban community".
  9. Yes, they have red and sometimes blue at BKK and the red is the "regular", the blue is the "light" version afaik,.
  10. As far as I am aware UK banks are not sending authorisation codes by post these days, and my bank doesn't offer email for this purpose, others might I suppose. Maybe a fax machine perhaps?
  11. Now you are thinking straight. No point in your neighbour owning pliers if he isn't prepared to get his hands dirty (wet). Meanwhile, fix it like a pro, put a bucket under it (if you have one).
  12. You move out and lose your deposit.
  13. If you’re applying outside the UK Your countersignatory must have a current British, Irish or other EU, US or Commonwealth passport.
  14. How do you do that in a wok? I would love to see the 1st results of her efforts following some youtube instruction. You might be better doing the cooking yourself and leaving her to the washing up - they do have small feet for a reason.
  15. They are not triangular;
  16. Nobody is talking about an OA. There is no A-O. The visa you are looking at from London is a single entry non-immigrant 0, based on retirement. Extension of 12 months is available in Thailand.
  17. There is no contract commitment only need to buy a monthly credit as and when needed. So if visiting for a few weeks a £10 1 month credit will give unlimited UK calls and texts and 12gb or so data.
  18. Indeed. If it's purpose is mainly/only to receive texts from a UK bank from time to time then all that is needed to keep it activated is to send a text every 6 months. A £10 credit will last something like 15 years. Ought to be in line with the budget of even the most frugal "expat".
  19. Receive £0.00 Send £0.30
