Some people just have a hard time posting facts about a city they have never been in. I wonder if I could interest them in a bridge?
Maybe the one to Laos would be good. ChiangMai is nice when it is quiet,

How about getting someone to make a post for you and let us know how you are doing and when you may make it back. Hurry up and get better.

If it is you I am sure you are the one mod that would be welcomed back by everyone...
Hurry up and get back

I had a US flag on the back of my old motorbike and was told I should put a Thai one on also. In the US I am pretty sure you could fly any flag you like and nobody would notice or care.....I feel much the same way.
That's crazy, who told you Sam a Thai or farang?

The US government does not seem to agree with you.

Sounds as if the OP has something against amputees.

Mac is a scot and never knows when it is best to shut up....As an aussie we share the same traits but hopefully control ourselves.

It appears that Matt may have other programs at KhonKaen University http://www.kku-li.com/ and Prince of Songkla http://www.fis-psu.com/.
They have identical websites to LICMU.

The problem is almost certainly that you are looking at the microwave while the water is cooking. By the way a 250mil cup should take 2 minutes in most ovens.
I would say they probably do wear out over time. The are actually very high freaeincy radio transmitters tuned to vibrate the water molecules in food. Just as with old radios a slight change in an old capacitator will change the frequency slightly so that it is not optimum.

I've gotta say, as much as I dislike the director and feel bad for the students who he tricked, that letter is brilliant and pretty amusing.
But it can also be used as evidence that the student was enrolled at CMU and that CMU broke the contract.

And who cares if the kettle is black.

Have you checked with the Disabled Center over in town....????
There are usually several there..
The disabled centre doesn't sell anything it supports Thais with their wheelchair needs. It is worth sponsering though it does do good things.

Although many students are not serious about studying many are. Of the first course I was the only one left at the finish and I did not need the visa though they have improved their game since then. I can understand CMU having concerns and taking steps to rectify this but the ones they have taken are not acceptible.
Cancelation of visas puts the students in a bad situation with many having to leave quickly after having made long term commitments. The theft of their fees also means many cannot afford to fund further courses.
I am disappointed with some of the posters who seem to think this does not matter.

The Australian Embassy (consulate) can witness Commonwealth Statutory Declarations. In Australia there is no charge for witnessing a document.
Statutory declaration forms can be downloaded from this website.
http://www.ag.gov.au/www/agd/agd.nsf/Page/Statutorydeclaration_Statutorydeclarationinformationsheet
Honorary Consulates do not perform notorial services for Australian Citizens.

In Australia they have teacher development days all the time.... I thought schools were about developing children and teachers could develop themselves in their own time like everyone else.

I disagree completely.
Your a funny dude !
"Funny how? You mean, funny like I'm a clown? I amuse you? I make you laugh? I'm here to <deleted>' amuse you? How da <deleted> am I funny? What da <deleted> is so funny about me? Tell me...
Now everytime you post I am going to see Joe Peschi ( Tommy ) shooting that waiter in the foot!
Signed: Henry Hill

The Australian Embassy charge $20....at a very bad exchange rate to witness a Stat Dec. It has to be done in person too.
I am also after an Austranian teacher nurse accountant etc to verify a document in ChiangMai. If you fit the sort of category...Australian registered professional give me a PM please.

I had respect for Matt but I have more now. Few people would take the responsibility he has for something that was not in his control. I hope people support him when he gets his new programmes up and running. Well done Matt you are a great person.

The housboats in Kashmir originated when British were not allowed to own land there. they built boats instead that were really luxury houses on pontoons. I spent many a day looking at the still water wrapped in a blanket with a hot water bottle.
Could be a nice way of living here if you picked the right place...of course the only use of the hot water bottles would be for arthritis.

Probably the screams were screams of joy at the thought of ccatching the wee beastie and roasting it for lunch.

Although I don't know the hosts and have only been to Tuskers twice, don't these people have the absolute right to close their business if they want, and for that matter, make any business decision, without speculation and/or criticism from people on TV?
I don't see any speculation on the thread. This is a public forum and the only comments I see are based on what the owners themselves have said. It does seem a quick decision and difficult to reconcile the bad trading conditions quoted by the owner with the very positive comments posted by TVers in the past and currently. But it is their business and I wish them well. And I or one am glad they are staying in Chiangmai.
I see no conflict in the Owner's comments. The difficult trading conditions would have impacted the ease of selling the business however because of their efforts they had a viable bussiness which would have made more money in the high season even if it was not going to be a great one this year. I feel their decision to close is based on their forthcoming child and their wish to participate fully in this wondr\erful experience. They allways seemed nice people, they seem even nicer after this decision.

"Was on a bus Friday and realized three people on the bus knew my name."
Hang on!! The bus was called Friday???
You see LT3 for your joke to be even remotely funny then the post you're jesting about would have to have a rather clever or amusing double meaning rather than being a completely normal sentence.
For example
" I went to the supermarket this morning "
" Hang on!! The supermarket was called " This Morning" ?
" No. I went to the supermarket between the hours of midnight and noon today."
= Not a joke
" Surely you can't be serious?"
" I am serious....and don't call me Shirley."
= Joke.
Well now mca, aren't we the comedien?
I was actually pointing out that this sentence:-
"Was on a bus Friday and realized three people on the bus knew my name."
is gramatticly incorrect!
It should read:- I was on a bus on Friday......
Hence I made jest (in a light hearted friendly fashion).
If you do not understand my sense of humour then I am deeply sorry for that and beg your forgivness!!!
You mean you rode your horse Friday onto the bus.

He may have a point. Even in the street food has been simplified to save time compared to that of 40 years ago. Time is something that is not available to working families and here as in the west has led to simpler food...sometimes better for it but generally a loss.

If you divorce i England you will lose at leaast half...it is common property there and even if you manage to get her name off it it will still go in the pool.

I understand its a tricky issue for TV but there has to be a way around it to stay away form libel while still allowing the community to warn other against a certain business
How about something like the reputation buttons you got going that way nothing is said but the reputation will say it all and will at least give someone a heads up to avoid a business that consistently treats it customers like shit
Could be something like
Hi guys what do you think about this business
_ +
Its would say it all without saying nothing at all.
Maybe I can sue the people who give me red -s
One-year-old Thai babies required to have ID card
in Thailand News
Posted
I do not know about ID but I do know in Australia theyneed a birth certificate or other entitlement document to register to be put on their parents Medicaire card to receive medical treatment. And they need the birth certificate and vacination certificates to register for school. The Thai ID card is also the document which replaces the Gold card for hospital treatment. It could be just a part of giving services in a computer age.
