  1. Can't understand why 2 or 3 places can't apply for late licences then everyone will know who they are and people wanting a quite nights sleep can book a room away from them.

    Exactly. I thought that Sai Gaew Beach had already been designated as a 'nightlife' area, and thus we normally stay on Au Wong Duan, or other nearby coves. Within a walk or short taxi drive away.

    The concept of "zoning" seems so hard for these people to comprehend? Or is this just a show of strength from other business operators with military connections?

    Zoning is koncept which would be ok,

    But in thailand the zones are made by Big Brown envelopes !!

  2. Remember the next time you get a road rage fever over something that the guy you flip off could easily have a gun in his car and be having a bad day and doesn't particulary care for farangs anyway......Often read stories of farangs like I'll show him, or I'll whip his butt etc etc....not if you're dead you sure will not.

    Generally NOT a good idea to get into confrontations.

    correct !!

    My wife always tell me, cool down, leave this Idiots to go !!

    It seems this hint of my nice wife is " Live saving "

  3. It's a little over 300 dollars. Hardly worth the effort or risk to anyone who can afford a vacation. coffee1.gif

    For a Chinese " tourists " $300 is a lot of money, and beside, a scam is a scam,

    some people enjoy running a scam just for the hell of it....

    Those Chinese who can afford a vacation here are very rich and $300 will mean very little or nothing to them. Do you think Chinese who go abroad on vacations are that mean? I have lived with them for 6 years and I think you have missed the point entirely.

    55555555555555555

    therfore you see them all boohed in 5***** star hotels only,

    and a la cart sea food restaurants and bars are stuffed with this " Reach " Chinese tourists !!

    55555555555555555

    You realy know China !

    where did you live there ??

  4. Of course the vendor is going to say he didn't scam them , why admit his guilt? For the amount of money 12,000b divided by two 600B each not hardly worth it and I doubt the insurance would pay anyway. Looks like another saving face exercise to assure the punters everything is fine in LOS

    "12,000 divided by two is 600". Please check your calculator. Yes, we know, you used a cheap calculator that the Thais "scammed" you into buying.

    they would get propably more back from the insurance, as what they paid for their arrangement !

    In this case, I beleave in RTPs statement !!

  5. "I'm asking because I have a friend that is overly paranoid, he sells stuff on ecommerce sites from West to West, nothing to do about Thailand. He also has a business in the USA that he controls from over here, again, nothing to do with Thailand."

    Actually, it has everything to do with Thailand, because that is where your "friend" is when he works.

    So, as he is, (according to the letter of the law), working illegally, I would think that the RTP do have the powers to seize his laptop and any other evidence.

    he work in Thailand without ! work permit "

    that is illigal !!

    Police can act !!

  6. Oil is a very small part of the cost of a tire. It's the refining, manufacturing, added goodies including belts and carbon black, shipping, wholesale and retail profit, warehousing and all which doesn't change with the price of oil. There's a lot of co-polymerizing involved in making the synthetic rubber. Again, the oil is a small part of the cost of a tire by the time it gets onto your car.

    Cheers.

    if oil price goes down,

    gasoline keeos the price, when back up,

    gasoline goes up too;

    Maximising for revenue dep and businesses,

    customer always the looser;;
