TAX number without work permit
ubonjoe replied to SCOTT FITZGERSLD's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It is a house book that can be issues to a foreigner that is about the same as a blue house book issued to Thais. Getting yellow house book also includes a ID number that can be used for many things and it proves your place of residence. There have been many topics about getting a yellow house book. -

It is a ID card issued after you apply for and get a yellow house book. They are issued at a Amphoe. The color of it is not really relevant. -
That has been discussed many times since the insurance requirement for OA visas started. It think for the Non-OA visa application at a embassy or official consulate started due to those in power thinking that those with one would not have the ties to Thailand since it does not require funds in a Thai bank and can easily leave and re-enter the country for a year. Those with non-o visa would have the funds in a Thai bank and have a long stay residence here.

Two Re-Entry Permits
ubonjoe replied to shortstop2's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Reading you post it appears you used the first one before you got the 2nd one. It was marked used so they issued another one later. -
This might sound stupid but...

For those from most countries there is no 6 months passport validity requirement. A passport only has to be valid for your length of stay. But neighboring countries do have a 6 month requirement. Not sure where he is located. There is topic about doing a run to the Ban Laem crossing to Cambodia. -

Some border crossing to Malaysia are open. Not sure what is required to enter Malaysia though. You will need a Thailand Pass to return to Thailand. -

You will have to find a border crossing that is is open. As far as I know Myanmar is not open yet. Since you mentioned Mai Sai you might want to check if the crossing from Chiang Rai to Laos is open. Laos just opened up some more. -
Your link did not work but this one does. https://laotiantimes.com/2022/05/07/laos-drops-testing-for-vaccinated-tourists-announces-full-reopening/

The TM6 site stopped working several month ago (not the date on my post). It think the online TM6 as been dumped. It has been taken down on the immigration website under online services https://www.immigration.go.th/en/#serviceonline.

I cannot see reason for there being a problem registering again with a different email address. Apparently there is not other option to change your email address. There is nothing mentioned about changing it in the user manual for the site. See: https://tm47.immigration.go.th/manual/IndexForeign.html

You could apply for a tourist visa that will allow a 60 day stay in the country that can be extended for 30 days. Then after you get married you could apply for a non-o visa at immigration and then a extension of stay based upon marriage That is probably you best option since you are under the age of 50.

You can apply for your extension up to 30 days early. The last day you can do it is the day your current extension expires.

Two Re-Entry Permits
ubonjoe replied to shortstop2's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
They will not issue a 2nd re-entry permit. You cannot have 2 valid re-entry permits in your passport.
