  1. I think there is a little confusion about the birth registration requiring it to be registered. I have looked at the requirements on the embassy in Helsinki and it does state the marriage be registered here at a Amphoe by stating a Kor Ror 22 is needed in the Thai version (translated by google). "6. Copy of marriage certificate of parents In case of marriage abroad, please attach a document of marital status (Chor. 22) issued by the district according to your household registration." ""Mother's testimony record" (in case the father and mother did not register the marriage) [Download]" Source: https://thaiembdc.org/th/thaibirthcertificate-thai-english/
  2. The color of the stamp really means nothing. What the stamp states is what is important. I have seen red stamps for entries to the country and that really means nothing. It just depends upon the ink pad the officer uses.
  3. Air Asia is showing flights to from Hua Hin to DMK and BKK. Maybe a misunderstanding as to what a direct flight means. The flights I found are non stop flights.
  4. The birth birth must be applied for at a embassy or official consulate in the country where you were born. The Department of Consular Affairs of the MFA will assist with the registration and sent it to relevant embassy or consulate. Moved this topic to the Family and Children forum where it has been discussed before.
  5. Both of the crossings I mentioned are in Chantaburi province. The one in Trat is much farther from Pattaya. Not sure there are any companies doing a run to there. The companies making the runs from Pattaya are going to the Ban Pakard crossing.
  6. Border crossings are still closed for foreigners. You can do crossings to Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia. Where you go to depends upon where you are staying. You cannot get a VOA unless you are from one of the 18 countries that qualify for it. You will get a 45 day visa exempt entry that can be extended for 30 days. That depends upon where you are staying. The crossings to Cambodia are also good. Bother offer visas on arrival for entry.
  7. It has to be earned income. Pension income is not earned income. I can assure you that many people have not paid a satong of tax for their pension income unless they did it to help lower their home country taxes.
  8. You will not have to pay Thai taxes on income a pension either directly or from a account in you home country. It would not be considered earned income.
  9. You cannot cross the border to Myanmar at any of the crossings. The nearest crossing from Chiang Mai is the crossing to Laos from Chang Khong in Chang Rai. There is a ongoing topic about it.
  10. It would not matter if you left the country while doing 12 months of transfers into the country. For the combination on income and money in the it would depend upon the office you apply at as to whether they accept it or not. It is in written rules but some don't want to it. Be aware the money must be in the bank for 2 months after you apply and then for the remainder of the year.
  11. No sure why you posted that 9 year old video. There is a bridge at Chiang Kong now.
  12. The embassy is in Vientiane and the consulate is in Savannakhet. You can take a bus from Chiang Rai to Nong Khai with a stop in Udon Thani and cross the bridge to Vientiane.
  13. This is the best crossing from Chiang Rai that is being discussed here.
  14. It shown as the Phoudou crossing at number 24 on this webpage and it states no Lao visa on arrival is available at it. https://immigration.gov.la/checkpoints/
  15. You should try doing an entry since your ban ended several years ago. And you do have one person stating it is no longer a problem to enter the country. By land would be a good option. Just turn around and re-enter the other country. By air is also a option if you have a return or onward ticket you could use if denied entry. They would probably put you in detention until your flight out was available.
  16. If you are the parent of a Thai you can apply for a non-o visa and the then a one year extension of stay. Or a 60 day extension of stay to visit them. The requirements for a non-o visa application at immigration is here. https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/7.CHILDREN-OF-THAI-NATIONALITY-NON-O.pdf For the extension of stay general info is here at number 18. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?p=14714 You can also apply for the non-o visa at a embassy or consulate.
  17. If you are from a country that qualifies for a 15 day (temporarily 30 days now) visa on arrival you would not be able to apply for the non-o visa at immigration. I assume you are actually getting a visa exempt entry not a voa.
  18. Same for mine. They want the month I applied for the previous year and the one for the month I apply the new one.
  19. This os what I wrote. If your wife is registered in her sister's house book she will need a copy of page one and the page she is registered on when doing the application. You will need proof of where you are living. It can be a rental agreement and copies of the owners house book and ID card.
  20. The info I posted earlier states this on it. To me it means it must be done by a doctor or clinic.
