Entry back to thailand
ubonjoe replied to pantsonfire's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Best to apply for a tourist visa before returning. How long will you be out of the country before your return. For you and others you could of gotten a extension for medical care instead of going on a overstay. -
You need to do your 90 day reports to the office where you applied for the extension unless your fromally change you address to another office. Same for applying for a new extension. You can do 90 day reports online from anywhere to your registered office.

Converting visa exempt to non-immigrant o
ubonjoe replied to Tbone999's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You a can apply for a single re-entry permit to keep the remainder of the 90 day stay valid when you enter the country. After you apply for a one year extension of stay during the last 30 days of the 90 days you can apply for a multiple re-entry permit. -
Proof the 800k baht came from abroad to apply for a non-o visa at immigration. Immigration wants the proof from a bank. People have tried to use proof it was converted to baht as cash but it was not accepted. If you can apply for a non-o visa at a embassy or consulate proof it came from abroad to apply the one year extension of stay.

exempt to Non-O retirement in Pattaya
ubonjoe replied to L0St's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
There is no requirement to ever prove the 800k baht came from abroad to apply for a extension of stay based upon retirement. From clause 2.22 of the immigration order for extensions of stay. -
Extend visa in arrival only once?
ubonjoe replied to Kammie's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
This from the immigration order issued in 2014 that allowed the extension of visa exempt entries that has not been changed since it was issued. -
It certainly not dodgy. I have used it myself for doing the reports. You can read the users guide shown on the login page

I had to register to do first search and then a missing mail report after the first one resulted in a missing status. This is this the email I got yesterday. "Thank you for using USPS.com. USPS Tracking® shows a "Delivered" status for your mailpiece. Your search request will automatically cancel in seven (7) days. If your mail was not delivered, access your search request from your Submitted Search Requests and click Keep Searching. Search Request Details: Request Date: 08/27/2022 Reference: Search ID #14968929"

All offices can issue the non-o visa with a visa exempt or tourist visa entry. You must have at least 15 days remaining on your entry. Requirements are here: https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/6.FOR-PROVIDING-SUPPORT-TO-OR-BEING-A-DEPENDANT-OF-A-THAI-CITIZEN-SPOUSE-VISA-NON-O.pdf The immigration officer gave you incorrect info. Go back talk a the supervising officer.

The embassy cannot transfer anything to your new passport. You will need to go to immigration with both passports to have your stamps transferred. You will need copies of both passport photo pages and copies of your visa and extension stamp in your old passport. You need the letter from the embassy requesting they transfer your stamps when your receive you new one. Also this form: Transfer Stamps To A New Passport

Extension of Stay based upon Marriage
ubonjoe replied to spetersen's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife if you have not applied for one since you last entry to the country using a visa. Your signature does not need to be perfect for the extension application.
