ubonjoe replied to Havenstreet1940's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
A Thai embassy has nothing to do with your application for a Thailand Pass. It is certainly a scam email. -

90 day when awaiting new passport
ubonjoe replied to john smith's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Have you tried the new online reporting site yet. The is no preapproval when accessing the site to do it. Register and then try it here. https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login See the pinned topic about it at the top of page of one of this forum for more info. Immigration should let you do the 90 day report in person with your old canceled passport. You could also do it by mail using a copy for your passport photo page before it was canceled. -

Covid extension issues?
ubonjoe replied to ChomDo's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You could ask them for the 7 days to leave the country stamp if your application was not accepted. They would have you pay the 1900 baht fee and they would deny and do the stamp. -
One year from the day you do the change.

old confirmation letter
ubonjoe replied to Demish's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I see not reason for you to have a problem for having a unneeded reservation. -
As said before you cannot change non immigrant visa categories while in the country. It can only be done after leaving the country by applying for a new visa at a embassy or entering with tourist visa or visa exempt and applying for a non-b visa at immigration. I is only possible to change the reason for your extension of stay from education to working.

visa on arrival overstay
ubonjoe replied to mahtin's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
He got a 30 day visa exempt entry not a 15 day visa on arrival that requires a 2000 fee be paid for it. He could apply for a 30 day extension at immigration for a fee of 1900 baht. The overstay fine is 500 baht a day and is paid when clearing departure immigration. If caught with a overstay he could be taken to the Immigration Detention Center and the be deported with a 1 year ban from entering the country. -

Covid extension issues?
ubonjoe replied to ChomDo's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
There is no under consideration period when applying there or at Muang Thong Thani (visa exempt entries). The will not do the 7 days to leave the country unless it is denied after paying the 1900 baht fee for it. If they did one it would from the day your current permit to stay ends.
