I think you car mixing up the covid extension and the amnesty that ended in 2020. You have to apply for a covid 19 extension at a immigration office. You could of applied for a extension based upon medical treatment to avoid the overstay. The hospital could of taken care of that for you for a small fee plus the 1900 baht fee for the extension.

Double check you entered everything correctly. Leave the TM6 entry blank and try again. I have not heard of anybody being able to get a explanation for why a report was rejected.

That might not be worth the time to do the registration for doing them. It is good for those doing a lot of reports but his might be a one time requirement unless enters with a new visa.
