  1. Yes and Yes It would not eliminate the non-o visa entry that you have been extending based upon marriage. After completing you medical care you would then apply for the one year extension. Same TM7 form that is used for all extensions. The only difference it the proof of the reason for the extension.
  2. That can be financial ties such as owning a condo and etc. Having a Thai family here as well is strong ties. Would either of the above just pack there bags and leave the country to avoid paying a hospital bill? The OA insurance requirement has been discussed ad nauseum in other topics staring in 2019.
  3. A non-o visa only allows a 90 day stay in the country. I think you are confusing them with getting a one year extension of. stay based upon marriage. The extension of stay required 400k baht in a Thai bank for 2 months or proof of 40k baht income. There may be people with them working online but they just keep a low profile and get away with doing like many others that are on different visa or extensions of stay. With a extension of based upon marriage you can apply for a work permit if working for a Thai company. You can also use the income from working to meet the 40k baht income requirement by showing Thai tax payments.
  4. The insurance requirement for it did not start until 2019 and the OA visa has been issued since the early 2000's. They chose the OA visa to have the insurance since it is only issued by embassies and official consulate in your home country or country of legal residence and it is a multiple entry visa. In my opinion they chose it since they consider those holding them as not having strong ties to Thailand and are more likely to bail out of the country to dodge paying a hospital bill.
  5. Did you get a 15 day visa on arrival after paying a 2000 baht fee for it when you entered the country? I think not.
  6. You can get the TGIA insurance up to and including the age of 99. I is only for 30 days but that would enough to enter the country.
  7. If you got a 30 day visa exempt entry you would not be able to apply for your extension since you would no longer have a entry from a non-o visa needed to apply for a extension.
  8. Look in your passport to see if the visa has non immigrant OA or only O on it. If you have gotten a new passport since you got it look on page 1 of your passport and there will be large stamp stating the type of you used for entry.
  9. Is it you or your wife that will be in the hospital? If you wife a arrangement could be made for her to sign the affidavit while in the hospital. For you a extension up to 90 day days for medical treatment can be applied for. See number 25 here. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?p=14714
  10. It should be about the same unless your local office comes up with something new.
  11. In reality now only 30 days is needed now to enter the country. I have not read the coverage recently but it should now cover all medical care.
  12. You would only need 30 days of coverage for the insurance required for entry. Check here on the TGIA insurance site. https://covid19.tgia.org/
  13. What good is a blue house book without his name in it. A yellow house book would allow him to use it as proof of residence or to get a pink ID card.
  14. I have seen nothing to indicate Test & Go option will not start again on the 1st. The sandboxes and AQ options are sill available on the Thailand Pass site.
  15. I think you meant satong not baht. The exchange rate yesterday was around 33 baht to the dollar.
  16. I think if you make an appointment you can go back on the site to cancel it and do a new one.
  17. The missing not is there now. You will need another bank letter and a copies of your updated bank book
  18. Division one is only for Bangkok. Division 3 is for the offices in the central region.
  19. See this topic on the Isaan forum. https://aseannow.com/topic/1247834-buriram-immigration-moving/
  20. The depends upon where you apply for the non-o visa at. Some embassies and consulates take a long time to issue visas. Also they required 3 months of the 40/400k baht insurance valid for at least 3 months. For many it is just as easy to enter visa exempt and apply for the non-o at immigration. When applying for the non-o visa shorley after entering the country most offices will accept a TM30 done by a hotel.
  21. The changes I was referring to were done in October of 2021. I have not seen any changes since then. The latest info is here on the TGiA website. https://longstay.tgia.org/guidelineoa You might want to consider doing what many people have done or plan on doing is to get rid of your OA visa entry by changing it to a non-o visa. The means leaving the country's without a re-entry permit and entering visa exempt so the can apply for a non-o visa at immigration and then a new one year extension.
  22. They have not been changed since 2017. You can find the forms in the pinned topic titled Immigration Templates.
  23. The embassy is only issuing single entry non-o visas now for retirement. You easiest option is to enter visa exempt and then apply for a non-o visa at immigration. The 800k baht will only need to be in the bank on the day you apply. Then during the last 30 days for the 90 day stay the visa allows you would apply for the one year extension of stay. The 800k baht will then need to be in the bank for 2 months.
  24. I don't know. The problem is that somebody walks in and ask for one they just hand over the same list every time.
